They're cousins of other Europeans sure but were very much their own thing too. I'm not sure where this desire to deny their existence comes from.

@Interlken @aidannonx @Mrgman32 Dutch, sure, but the British Empire was built by Celts. The Irish, Welsh, and Scottish played an overwhelmingly large role in the British Empire, disproportionately so, as officers and enlisted men. As for the English, the West of England is Celtic, East less so.

Because at the present time we have no idea what wac Copernicus' native tongue, as all of his works are in Latin (which for sure was not his native tongue). He for sure spoke German, but we do not know if it was his native language.
