@IonCarnation I thought I hadn't seen him in a while.. Where is Padvosa...?
English

@Catholic_Briton @IonCarnation True actually. Important distinction
English

@PingCymru @IonCarnation The map gets it wrong, but understandably as it's a common 'Christianity is just rehashed paganism' myth. Easter isn't directly named for Eostre but for the month named after Eostre.
It's like saying Ash Wednesday has pagan origins because Wednesday is named after Odin.

@DFIRJames @TheHaarth It really says a lot that you assume this was originally written in English

If you put the Catholic perspective to the side, you’ll see a significant problem.
Many different Protestant groups claim that the Bible is their only authority but if "Sola Scriptura" was to be true why do they completely disagree on fundamental issues?
If you notice, they all hold conflicting views on things like whether a believer can lose their salvation, the importance of baptism, or whether divorce is permissible.
If Sola Scriptura was true there wouldn't be this discrepancy.

@Dirkdiggler133 You say this only if you don’t understand what Christian means

Meet your new roommate: Manhattan Cafe ☕🖤 Super oversized, super cozy, super iconic.
Would you make space for her?

@VoticEmo :O these are so awesome, what did you make them with?

A most accurate map of the county, for future reference (electoral wards in next thread post)

@Kenedhloger Yep Llandudno #2. The St Tudno who the Conwy Llandudno was named after was, according to legend, a son of the Seithenyn that sunk Cantref Gwaelod
English

@PingCymru A second Llandudno? It reminds me I found out Wales has it's own Penryn with Penbryn the other day.
English

@VoticEmo Nah but it was a conscious stylistic choice to make it look that way
English

@Metafizikas1 This new trend of calling Ash Wednesday American for some reason is so confusing to me. I've had ash crosses in my parish in Wales for as long as I remember
English

@PingCymru Indeed, but I feel like the whole ashen cross is just an American larp at this point 🤷♀️
