Drake, Kanye and Jayz are the only Rappers to have 3 plus classic hip hop albums 🤷🏿♂️

@TonyDaDome Ppl cant know they don’t like them w/o watching them😂
This also ignores that theres fans watching for TFO talk, only to get blind sided by Cole’s bs.
I haven’t watched any of his interviews. just clips. Yall get mad abt that too tho saying I shud watch all of it for context 😂

J Cole saying “Culture” is an empty buzzword pushed by paid campaigns, algorithms & whatever is the most out of touch takes I’ve heard from someone who has benefited from the culture the most. Hip Hop culture is not a marketing tactic???? Or term? If the culture was “Fake” nobody would’ve gave a AF when Cole apologised about dissing Dot.
Calling the Culture a buzzword sounding like Drake because mfs can’t control the conversation anymore. This is disappointing.
Tupac’s Ring 👑@meetdagrams
Calling the culture a “empty buzzword” is definitely a choice.🥴

@IJV23IYKYK @insiderassasin @MrBusby4o8 Jay is also getting raked over the coals for his take too. No need to move goalposts. They both wrong.
English

J Cole is right.
You guys literally controlled the conversation for the last two years 😂 Completely hijacked and gatekeeped hip-hop solely based on personal agendas.
Unfortunately, you guys watered the definition of “The Culture” down to anything anti-Drake. The more you let your personal agendas affect a movement or belief, the more the lines get blurred of what it means.
Even Jay-Z last week said battle rap shouldn’t be part of the culture anymore.
So what’s your excuse now? Where are the goal posts going to be moved now for your own convenience?

Shit done turned into Odyssey at this point. I used to like Cole & his music. But how he moved during the beef and afterwards, his true character has been on display. Can’t unsee what is being shown right now, and he’s the one voluntarily showing it. SMH

Whole time Cole was the trojan horse that infiltrated hip hop "few solid niggas left but it's not enough" 😒

At some point, you have to ask, is this about being honest, or about controlling how the story is remembered?

@_KingShit1 @troh24 @Iggythetruth Looking at charts to determine classics? Yeah you don’t need to be in the convo. Pssshh the original poster don’t need to be in the convo.
English

@M241Massey @troh24 @Iggythetruth Drake got like 9 albums still on billboard 😭 I think Kenny got like 2 or 3 🤷♂️ instead of removing Drake jus add Kenny

The real difference today in 2026 isn’t that the culture is fake… ITS THAT ARTISTS DONT CONTROL IT ANYMORE!
In the past labels & media could shape the narrative.. NOW millions of fans online have online discussions, debates etc & participate in REAL TIME! The online audience pushes the moment.
That’s UNCOMFORTABLE for some artists.

Concluding to say that Hip Hop Culture isn’t a marketing buzzword, even though many Yt folks have used it & used the Culture in a distasteful way, some people have EVEN SUED.. why are we not talking about that?
The culture is the reason why Hip Hop artist matter in the first place… it’s 2026 babe times have evolved into the digital space get over it.

WHILE J Cole is saying all of this he is heavily promoting Iceman??? How is Cole talking about Drake’s album more than THE FALLOFF? It’s makes no sense.
Cole keeps mentioning paid campaigns & this is exactly what these 3 interviews sound like. Drakes whole rollout over the past year has been driven by internet conversation, perception, BS narratives and Stan discourse.

🧵 THREAD.
J Cole’s take on the Culture is disheartening, Calling the culture a buzzword pushed by paid campaigns is such a strange take from someone whose entire career was lifted by the culture.
I remember when J Cole first came out the blogs, magazines that pushed him and believed in him.. That wasn’t a campaign that was the culture.
