This was 100% the case when I was a teenager but its pretty common nowadays for me to see Kingdom Hearts Fans in Public, a lot of them have only played 1 and 2 but its still pretty neat those games impacted them enough to still talk about it. Now at Cons THEY ARE EVERYWHERE

Kingdom Hearts is franchise that so many people feel ashamed to enjoy. Very few people I know IRL talk about it openly, but whenever I bring it up, a convo starts going sharing how they love it. Its a series many people consume and enjoy, but few will say it cuz its “cringe”

@donalddefender This series is owned by Disney though and only made in partnership with Square Enix, the same way Nintendo works in partnership in order to make the Hyrule Warriors series. So of course the Disney stuff will always be important, they are why we have the series

Ok but how the hell is Riku getting into Quadratum, a place where we’ve only seen dead characters??? Riku ends it all in the prologue of KH4 so he can go search for Sora 😭😭😭

@OG_Skraxx It could also be that “How did you recognize me as Yozora?” is translated as “Am I appearing to you as Yozora?” where for some reason he doesn’t even know why he is appearing that way to Sora’s memories. But again, this is Nomura, anything goes with him

What if Yozora and Vali were always the same person? We know from yozora himself that the remind design isnt what he really looks like.
This couldve been Vali reaching out and connecting with Sora but appearing differently. He looks similar to both of them👀👀

@gabepichu Why are they cooking Nintendo? I doubt you are going to get much of a meal out of them unless you throw in some third party ingredients, with maybe the occasional old spice that is still good to use. 😋

@ProdigyxCD Okay, one the Strange World would actually be an amazing place to explore in no matter your thoughts on the movie, and two, of course they would have wanted to use Wish at some point in KH, but after it flopped so hard, I think even Disney wants to move past it now

@SkywardWing If Nintendo taught me anything when it comes to things like this, it doesn’t matter if something feels important to happen before something else, they rather us just figure out by playing the new thing whether than looking to the past for answers

Not to sound ungrateful, but I hope there’s a Union Cross/KH Mobile Game remake of some kind. That new KH4 is FULL of characters from the mobile games, even Missing Link (which never got to release)
A smaller AA Remake of Union Cross and Dark Road is ESSENTIAL to understand KH4.

@dallin1016 @MasterLeytrx like they didn’t hear the question and that it wasn’t just asked.
So I think it’s way closer to completion than people might have assumed before the Direct happened. I feel it has to be a late 2027 / early 2028 release at the latest.

@dallin1016 @MasterLeytrx was confident in it. Then on the final day of the convention, they had a KH panel, and someone point blank asked them if any of them have done voice work for KH4 yet, and they took a moment to try and not say anything intentionally, then did the comedy bit of pretending

Some important notes about yesterdays KH4 trailer
The footage in the Nintendo Direct version of the trailer is 100% someone playing the game. You can see the inputs feedback on the command menu

@NWeedle When more games get announced, I usually just add it to the pile. I never said when I would get all these, and that I would ever finish all of them, only that I would get them and play a little bit of them! I’m a bad game starter, not finisher ☠️

@LilAl85855 The closest I think I’ve played of “Soulslike” is I played the beginning of Another Crab’s Treasure on Game Pass (back when it was affordable and I had just gotten my Series S) and the beginning of Elden Ring (which I own on PS5), but I didn’t get far with either for v reasons

@KHLuminary I would honestly really like that. The old summoning system was great back on the PS2, but it just doesn’t really hold up nowadays when it comes to these new games. It feels like it needed a refresh to make them still want to be used, but in a way where they would be cool to use

I had this strange dream last night where Kingdom Hearts 4 had a new trailer, at the Nintendo Direct of all places. They showed a bunch of new characters and the game looked so good it felt Unreal
But that couldn’t have happened, right?
