Nobody and I mean NOBODY trusts any decision the @NHLPlayerSafety makes or doesn’t make. There is absolutely ZERO consistency in any ruling they make. They are an absolute disgrace to player safety. If you want to be consistent, make it black or white. Take away the gray area. Make it the same for every player regardless of team, talent level, etc.
This should NEVER be a topic of debate especially when your job is to maintain the health and safety of the players. You are responsible for every man on that ice and when you let certain players or teams get away with things, this is the headline that players like McDavid have to create.
