.@BrendanCarrFCC announces a significant spectrum rulemaking proceeding concerning the Upper C-band. The draft NPRM apparently tees up auctioning up to 180 MHz. At least 100 MHz needs to be auctioned by July 2027 under the OBBBA. The draft item will likely be released within the next couple of days.

Why is AST encouraging potential customers to break federal laws that forbid use of cellular phones onboard aircraft?

@TMFAssociates @starship_x7547 FWIW, I’m not sure the Part 22 rules would apply since they’re limited to 800 MHz. FAA restrictions would need to be considered though as well.
