Thinking I was going to take a relaxing train ride from KCMO to Chicago and back to KCMO via @Amtrak was a major mistake. The absolute worst train rides I’ve ever experienced in my life. Maybe we will get off the train in the next day or so???

Tomorrow is my 9 year anniversary at @KSHB41 Crazy I've been here and planted roots in Kansas City. It's been a blessing and a joy to live, work, play and grow here. I've fallen in love with this city and the people in it. We've become family.

Kansas City….we had a good week. Started the week with the 15 and Mahomies Gala, opening of the next phase of the streetcar line, and finished with the groundbreaking at Parade Park. Well done!!!

The 18th & Vine Streetcar Feasibility Study is officially underway! This community-led study will explore the installation of an East-West streetcar expansion to reconnect the 18th and Vine District to the rest of our City. I am very optimistic about what this expansion could mean for the 3rd District and I look forward to working with this group of community leaders, business owners, and stakeholders to create a vision that works for our community. Special thanks to Congressman Emanuel Cleaver @repcleaver , Mayor @QuintonLucasKC, Streetcar Executive Director @TomGerend, Board Chair Michael Collins, and the @ParsonKC team!
