SpawnWave confirms #PlayStation have pulled a Don Mattrick special with a new online check-in every 30 days, to play newly purchased digital games (though it doesn't affect physical reselling, sharing or ownership, nor have a daily check in like OG Xbox One DRM attempted). If the 30 days lapse, you don't lose the licence, but have to re-connect to the Internet in order to play. It does not impact digital or physical games purchased before the update. @NikTek spoke to a human customer service rep confirming the DRM, but others have posted numerous convos with support, including reportedly people, who said no such DRM check in has been implemented. It's fucking absurd that people can play from start to finish one of the greatest arcs in RPGs and Final Fantasy, FOR FREE. These guys really stretch the meaning of "Free trial"

Idk how many of you are fans of FFXIV, but I liked Dawntrail. I didn’t find it nearly as bad as a lot of FFXIV fans, however it was gravely missing something I loved about the rest of the game. The tone. Evercold’s trailer has me insanely hopeful. It has that melancholic and grim tone that I missed from FFXIV, I absolutely can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen. I already have so many questions, unlike when I watched the first Dawntrail teaser.
