Put a good cooling pad under the laptop, I recommend Redragon. Turn on your laptop’s cooling mode too. That alone can often drop temps by around 20°C. If it doesn’t, or you’re already doing that and still hitting 98°C, then change the thermal paste. I recommend Thermal Grizzly, easily one of the best out there.

@NikTek Because GTA 6 isn’t a normal launch. dropping Trailer 3 first turns the entire weekend into free marketing before pre-orders open, I don’t think it’s going to be as much about instant conversion this time and more about maximising attention We will just have to see

Help me understand; if that Best Buy email was suggesting that GTA VI Physical Pre-Orders will go live on May 18th, why are we expecting a Trailer 3 today? Historically, the pre-orders for Rockstar Game would go live as soon as a Trailer ended with Pre-Order now screen

@HardwareUnboxed The damage to their brand has been done. As a Radeon 9000 series owner, I know that AMD is willing to screw me over as a customer when FSR 5 ships with next-generation Radeon GPUs and makes me wait more than a year for this feature to become available for previous-gen GPUs

Seeing a few excuses in the comments claiming it's fine AMD took over 1 year to bring FSR 4 to RDNA 3 because development takes time blah blah blah we don't know what we're taking about blah blah We knew for a fact that FSR4 INT8 offered a better experience than FSR 3.1 for RDNA3 in October 2025! We tested it and proved it. They could have and should have released the feature back then. So yes the amount of time it's taken is unacceptable

FSR 4.1 will become available for RDNA3 hardware in July 2026 and RDNA2 hardware in 2027. This is incredible news as FSR 4.1 could be a game changer for current gen consoles which have the same architecture as Radeon 6000 Series, the Steam Machine and gaming handhelds. If this gets implemented to current-gen consoles, it could extend the lifespan and older GPUs too, especially during a time when memory chip prices are at an all time high. The visual differences between FSR 3.1 and FSR 4.1 are incredible as you can see in the examples shown here.
