correction* 32GB DDR5 RAM

AMD's Ray Regeneration in Crimson Desert really tanks the performance. GPU RX 9070 XT, Ryzen 9800X3D and 32GB VRAM

@HardwareUnboxed I'm currently playing with the Ultra preset and turning on Ray Regeneration completely destroys my FPS (from 78 to 14)😅 Currently running it at 4k with FSR 4.1 set to Quality and I'm not using any frame-gen

@NikTek If you enable Ray Reconstruction or Ray Regeneration you can expect to get about 1/3rd the FPS vs the feature disabled with the Cinematic preset

Here's the performance tank again when enabling Ray Regeneration in Crimson Desert after updating AMD drivers to the latest Adrenalin 26.3.1 Safe to say that I won't be turning this on for the rest of my gameplay. If you have an AMD GPU how is your performance with Ray Regeneration turned on?

Small detail from Crimson Desert #2 If you push NPCs that are carrying items, they will drop them and go back to grab their stuff back instead of just leaving it on the ground. Subsequently, nearby animals will come near the food that has been dropped to start eating it.

@NikTek Realism means nothing if the gameplay is not engaging and if majority of the game grindfest, fetch quests and piss easy combat.

I'm surprised by how alive the Open World of Crimson Desert feels. You can talk to almost every NPC in this game and they'll even comment as you approach them, I wouldn't say it is exactly to RDR2 levels of realism but it definitely holds its own!

Oh my god you can grab and pet cats including this chonky boy in Crimson Desert. Instant GOTY contender for me!

Crimson Desert has a loading screen that's about 1 minute long (sometimes longer) every time you boot up the game. It has this cool transition effect, but I would rather have it just load to my previous save faster This recording starts right after I pressed play

@SMH3770 I used MSI afterburner only to test out the VRAM usage

Clearly a wrong reading as my MSI afterburner reads 11GB of VRAM usage

Crimson Desert Cinematic Graphics at 4k resolution consumes only 6.03 GB of VRAM? Surely this reading is wrong because it also reads that my GPU has 16.99GB of VRAM 😅

You can adjust the camera perspective in Crimson Desert. If you feel like the camera is too far away you can zoom in further, even going into First-Person view. There's also this neat little feature where if you zoom in just enough you'll get Cliff staring at you
