@Will_Tanner_1 Last time I checked America was founded by criminals, exiles, murderers and slaveowners.

@Mosidat_wunmi Heard they do this to avoid dead bodies from being raped, and that’s honestly so sad.

@aztec9887 @BigHerm118 @Jacobtheclipper Lakers were up 13 with 2:35. 115-102, when Kobe was at 74. He scored 7 extra points on free throws in the last 2:35, not 5 in the last minute. 13 is a solid lead with that amount of time but the game was not decided. Crazier comebacks have happened in less time.
English

@JoshuaJMuhammad @BigHerm118 @Jacobtheclipper Bam was definitely trying to get to 80. No question.
But Kobe had 67 when the game was over. He stayed in the game for 14 more. He scored 5 inside of a minute. He was also chasing a number.

“Kobe’s 81 point game, he was stat padding too” -Clueless Gen Z fans
I won’t let y’all tarnish Kobe’s legacy and try to REWRITE history. I went back and watched Kobe’s 81 point game.
It was a competitive comeback. The Lakers were down the WHOLE game and ONLY took the lead with barely any time left in the 3rd. The Raptors even cut it to 9 with 5 minutes left in the 4th! they needed every point of Kobe’s to win that game.
Compare that to Bam’s 83 point game: it was a blowout for nearly the ENTIRE second half. Then, to add insult to injury, they fouled the Wizards at the end to extend time for Bam to stat pad. If they tried that with Kobe, he’d have reached 100! But Kobe would never allow such a cheap game plan. Shame on Spoelstra for okaying that ✌️
English

@himwitdacam @AshNicoleMoss A reason, but not the only reason. It’s also a good reason. If you are going to pass Kobe, do it the way Kobe did it or don’t do it at all. That wasn’t good basketball by the Heat.
English

@AshNicoleMoss Only reason people had a issue is because it was Kobe record and everybody is SUPER sensitive about Kobe so when they saw it was a guy that’s not a known Kobe guy it was a issue I PROOOOOOMISE if Tatum did it the exact same way the conversation would be different
English

this is actually interesting — on this app there’s constantly a conversation about people “not caring about basketball” and just caring about the hot takes, but last night people had a legitimate issue about the integrity of basketball/officiating and were called “haters”

Don’t let anyone try to tell you “you don’t like basketball” if you found issue with Bam’s 83 points. A lot of people are fans of basketball the sport and not basketball the game!
English

@BigHerm118 @aztec9887 @Jacobtheclipper This is what people are failing to understand. Kobe wasn’t chasing a record. He was just being Kobe in the flow of the game. Bam and the Heat were obviously trying to get more than 81 with the game already in the bag.
English

@aztec9887 @Jacobtheclipper No no no… you just a LeBron stan.
Kobe is so popular people like this come out of the cracks to hate.
Kobe played like that especially that week of his NbA career.
He was a gunner and wasn’t tryna pass a certain number he was just playing.
There are many differences
English

@BSO Also, Kobe’s ‘06 season was legendary. He was a one man show averaging 35 with multiple high scoring games willing his team to the playoffs. His 81 was an exclamation point. Bam’s is a random outlier on a 20ppg season. It’s just different.

We are excited to welcome the newest coach to our program. Coach Jameson Robinson by way of Prairie View A&M University. We look forward to seeing him better our student athletes and our campus culture. Welcome to the team @CallMeJayoo
English

@Jacobtheclipper It depends if you want to say the tap was having control of the ball. It’s similar to when players are going for a loose ball or rebound and a player would tap the ball in the air to himself, get control of the ball, then start their dribble.
English

@MightiJamie So you’re telling me that Minister Farrakhan is recorded on video confessing to the killing of Malcolm X in front of thousands of people, yet he is not in prison? My brother, you’re smarter than this. Stop the nonsense.
