And there are people who say, shocked: “You write in a way that filters the quality of the audience?” Of course I do. People need to feel motivated to read something and then go research it themselves. That’s didactic.

Those who have been following me for a long time know that I don’t usually post sources. Instead, I enrich the text with data that makes verifying the information a matter of just a few seconds. I do this on purpose to filter the quality of the audience. And in cases where the information may not be so explicit, I usually reply with links in the comments.

@Evan_Rosenfeld @Norse_Heithinn You could of course, come back with probably something even more vile, as I am sure something like that exists on the side of the Palestinians, but you cannot turn away from reality. At present, at least only one side has turned vile into actionable reality on the ground.

@Norse_Heithinn Yup, that’s unconscionable. I can come back at you with all of the horrendous vile things said by Palestinians about Israelis and Jews, too. This is what happens when you let the worst voices define entire populations.

Democrats are trying to buy time on Israel by making Netanyahu the whole issue. It is a way to appease an increasingly radical part of their base without admitting how far that base has moved from even conditional support for the U.S.-Israel alliance.

Why are so many antisemitic bots here from Pakistan? A state that became synonymous with sheltering Bin Laden, exporting terrorism and fanaticism, and waging permanent war against our ally India should worry less about Jews and more about why it keeps failing itself.

Iran created Hezbollah to attack Israel and in the end had to beg America to block Israel from destroying Hezbollah. Hezbollah didn’t help Iran in the war except as a bargaining trip for Iranian begging.

It will cost Americans their jobs. Israel will buy what it needs where it can get it or produce it. The aid locks Israel in to buy American, and the feedback loop on return on investment with this is unreal (tenfold or more). It will cost Americans their lives. Israel last summer took out almost all of Iran’s air defenses in the 11 days before the first U.S. pilot flew over Iran. Israel then also providers air cover. In short, Israel did the heavy lifting to vastly reduce the risk to our pilots. Israel is destroying our enemies, who are enemies that make it clear they loathe us, want to kill us, have prepared to kill us, and have killed us in the thousands. Not only is this a no-cost erosion of our common mortal enemies, but it also helps our other regional allies who face the save enemies. Namely, Israel’s actions save the US further, deeper, more costly and potentially more fatal constant engagement. In short, Israel is a bargain investment on the front line of Western civilization’s defense against several of the world’s most barbaric, homicidal actors and enemies. Every dime given Israel comes back a dollar toward winning that battle. So go ahead, especially the likes of Rep, Elisa Slotkin, virtue signal and shoot America in the foot. But don’t claim either morality or patriotism as you side with the Iranian regime killers and their axis against Israel, who is standing shoulder to shoulder with our soldiers, seamen and airmen and with the Iranian people, about whom you did nothing to help when 45,000 were slaughtered in a day. And don’t evoke some twisted concept of Jewish morality or Tikkun Olam. You have abandoned your people in the hour of great need to score political points with those who hate us.
dan linnaeus@DanLinnaeus

The pressure this places on Israel to neutralize existential threats before the political climate potentially shifts and its magazine security is threatened is strategic accelerant for the Middle East. That’s a feedback loop most Dems don’t want.

The sheer lack of residual respect being shown by quite a lot of people who disagree over the wisdom and the course of the Iran war is pretty shameful. And some of the accusations being thrown around are worse.

The regime's laundering service responds... ...are your disinformation contacts still alive? Who from the rump regime calls you now to get stories written? I'm genuinely curious.
Mohammad Ali Shabani@mashabani

The Israel Lobby echo chamber long ago recruited Iranians because it makes for an effective comms strategy. It's not a coincidence that FDD relies on in-house Iranians to either boost Reza Pahlavi or openly argue for the obliteration of the livelihoods of 92 million Iranians.

Well well well...I waited for that. He doesn’t need to call me to acknowledge that such a flawed policy, one that was endorsed by a few questionable think tanks, ultimately contributed to his election. Instead of engaging in honest self-reflection about how the situation with Iran has deteriorated in recent weeks, in part due to a consistent underestimation of the regime, it seems there is now a decision to go on the offensive against those who warned from the outset that this approach was misguided. I understand the frustration, it’s natural. But I’m neither alarmed nor particularly concerned by criticism from individuals whose professional trajectory depends more on personal advancement than on sound strategic judgment. Is there really no better advice to offer the administration when it comes to Iran? I would suggest focusing on how to weaken a regime that has actually been strengthened by these policies, rather than looking for someone to blame for the current state of affairs with Iran. At a certain point, it requires a willingness to look in the mirror. Stay safe.

Oh you’ve spoken to Mojtaba? He called you and confirmed he’s in charge and fully functional? Wow that’s amazing. Because it sure looks like Weekend at Bernie’s with B Teamers scamming lower ranks by claiming to speak to and for a pseudo vegetable. Vahidi, sure. Mojtaba, no way.
