@JoRa_crypto @jackunheard It wasn't a catch. It just went into the pitchers jersey. It'd be like if the ball was hit foul and ended up in the catcher's mask. It wouldn't be ruled an out because the catcher didn't catch it, his mask only stopped the play dead.

It took him a few seconds to figure out where the ball even went. The play was ruled a single because the ball was considered dead once it stuck in his uniform. The skill & coordination is amazing. 🏁 Racing a car at high speeds for long periods with elevated heart rate, extreme temperatures, major g-forces, physically wrestling a car on the edge of disaster through the fear of potential injury with intense mental concentration and coordination with feet, arms & hands VERY MUCH makes a racecar driver an athlete.
