@joelschafer I think we have 3 spots to fill. We likely go get 2 guards and 1 big guy. They need to be able to handle press well, show tons of athleticism, and stretch the court. Would be amazing to get a combo guard.

The most important thing for Hoiberg to do in the portal is finding a point guard, right? Probably need 2 guards who can play the 1 honestly.

@GabrielCStovall Exactly. And we run such a unique offense and defense that it helps us. Plus (most of the time) the refs are pretty good and will call freedom of movement fouls.

@KalebSwanda I can definitely understand that. At this stage of the season, unfamiliarity could be an advantage.

@SkersNews I think the Raiolas were a bigger distraction than most people realized and Rhule finally realized it’s not worth the squeeze. I also think Rhule has better idea of what he wants now than 3 years ago and the roster finally matches up with what he’s looking for.

Why do you feel year 4 Rhule will figure this out? No I don't mean this as a snarky or rude post. Genuinely curious. What things to you think Rhule has learned the first 3 years that will help him succeed year 4? 1. A mobile qb- i think he fully understands how important that is. Moving on from Dylan and bring in AC proves this.

Respectfully, the way Iowa plays defense will be difficult to continue in the tournament. This is what people talk about when they say the “Big Ten style” and how conference games are officiated hampers them when it comes to March.
