Deep Insight this is. > Engineers : hire it from top company; Reason: High standard > Sales - hire it from mediocre company. Reason: You have to be good at selling to sale a losing product.

It’s harder for genZ to build, say, or do things that are truly contrarian because they grew up with social media and never had a period before being caught in the online status game. So rare to see a differing opinion from the rest even. Unfortunately most success requires you to be misunderstood short term.

Well we can't say it for sure because no body knows what will be the present/future look like if one parameter of past was changed. But agreeing to your point. Because if you think about it we get many technology like railway due to British. Colonization was inevitable for Asian countries. It's going to happen one way or other because internally we were weak, non experimental & divided.

One needs to thank God we got colonised by the British, way lesser of the two evils Vasco Da Gama captured a Mughal ship going to Mecca filled with Women and newborns Huddled them in a room, set them on fire and watched happily from a peephole Need not remind about the Konkani Hindu genocide by Alphonso De Albuquerque British were absolutely saints in front of the Portugese

Problem is not corruption. Problem is incompetence. You can be corrupt. But you need competence atleast to qualify for your job. Which is not the case. Corruption can be cured. Incompetence can’t be. Skill issue. Literally.

@SandeepMall Its because of the corrupt Government and silent citizens.

@dwarkesh_sp From copying others, to manufacturing their own product to innovations. China comes a long way. I think china is the only country far ahead in a race to be self sustainable.

China spent 25 years failing to build a globally competitive domestic car industry through hundreds of billions of dollars of subsidies and forced partnerships. Then they tried something radical. In 2018, they invited Tesla to build a wholly-owned factory in Shanghai. No joint venture required. Chinese officials called it the "catfish effect" - Tesla would force domestic companies to compete or die. The impact was brutal. When Tesla's Model 3 launched in 2020, it quickly became China's best-selling EV. BYD's total vehicle sales actually fell 7.7% that year to just 427,000 units. By competing with the world's best, BYD was forced to address what they were missing: Chinese EVs had great battery tech and software, but the cars weren't appealing. So BYD learned design. Sales exploded. Today BYD sells over 4 million vehicles annually - 10x their 2020 numbers, and more than Tesla globally. America should do the same thing. In the long run, the only way to win high-tech manufacturing is to actually compete against the very best in the world. We should encourage BYD and other leading Chinese companies to build factories in America in exchange for the access to the U.S market. This would allow us to build up process knowledge and the the relevant supply chains domestically, and force American companies to catch up. The alternative is to fall further and further behind. I talked to Arthur Kroeber @arkroeber, one of the sharpest observers of China’s economy, about this and much more. Full episode out tomorrow.

Elon Musk: A self-driving Tesla should always do the right thing, even if a UFO lands in the middle of the road. “For self-driving, even if the road is painted completely wrong and a UFO lands in the middle of the road, the car still cannot crash and still needs to do the right thing. The prime directive for the autopilot system is: Don't crash. That really overrides everything. No matter what the lines say or how the road is done, the thing that needs to happen is minimizing the probability of impact while getting you to your destination conveniently and comfortably. The prime directive, the absolute priority, is to minimize the probability of injury to yourself or to anyone on the road, to pedestrians, or anything like that. It can't be dependent on the road markings being correct.” Interview with Sandy Munro, February 2, 2021

No worries, Indians know how to get Captain Mike away from the Aircraft
Muji Singh Rangi tweet media
Anantha Krishnan M🇮🇳@writetake

According to a report in Mathrubhumi today, the #RAF pilot of the #F35B reportedly declined to move away from the aircraft after landing at the #Thiruvananthapuram Airport. As per the account, Capt Mike disembarked from the fighter following the mandatory customs and immigration formalities. However, when he was to be escorted to the terminal building for further security procedures, he is said to have refused, instead requesting a chair, which was duly provided. The report states that he remained seated (rested) next to the aircraft for an extended period before eventually agreeing to accompany the officials to complete the remaining formalities. In the picture, the aircraft is seen undergoing refuelling. #avgeeks #military #stealth

@mujifren Idea is good but not sure about discipline part. In gov primary school there's no concept of peon. It is mandatory for students to clean classroom & school on their own. But even after that they lack civic sense. They still throw trash everywhere.

One thing I so like about Agniveer is that many Civilians will rotate out of the Army system and come back in the Civilian world This will lead to higher standards of discipline, less Dehatipana, better secular ethos and better fitness standards 25% seats in Police and Paramilitary should be reserved for Agniveers Need a GI bill kinda thing as well, allowing them to join course of their choice (Not MBBS) directly in 2nd year Only thing army should ensure is keep taking in large numbers of people and spend huge on training of lowest rank Jawan
Tushar Gupta@Tushar15

Only a month ago, 3000 Agniveers played a critical role in 'Operation Sindoor', but this pompous braggart thinks they might become like the militants in 'Operation Bluestar'. Disgraceful. 📹: ANI

I show many tourists places/buildings that keep emergency exit door locked. Than what's the meaning of this. Emergency happen without prior warning. At the time of emergency who's gonna open that exit? People inside will get trapped. No clear sign board that lead to emergency exit.

Zero safety protocol and unchecked corruption is claiming lives in adventure sports across India. > A girl fell off zip lining in Manali, today > A river rafting incident in Uttarakhand, days ago > A girl fell off a ride in Delhi, weeks ago > A girl fell from paragliding in bir biling, few years ago All lives lost. Nothing ever changes because bribes are more valuable than human lives!
