Looking for a specific Loci activity. Several years ago I had an activity about a school disco which contained a lot of scenarios that the kids had to construct the loci for. Does anyone know it or another fun but challenging loci for a top set year 9 class? TIA

Hi all, It’s great to see everyone in The Academy winding down for the summer. Just three weeks left. Or, to put it another way, 4 twilight CPD sessions, 2 end of term concerts, 3 parents’ evenings, 5 school show performances, a prom, 6 fire drills and 2 Mocksteds. Thanks x

Hi all, We have too many Associate Assistant’s Associate Assistant Headteachers. Rather than sackings, we’ve decided to have a competition. I’m An SLT Get Me Out Of Here will run next week. Staff will have to do inappropriate “trials”and pupils will get to vote them out. Thanks x

@LPmaths @mathsjem @MrMattock @EmathsUK @PixiMaths The experiment was a success in that the students achieved much better that we expected and we continued a similar setting framework for two further year groups. However the the department & school were improving across the board at this time.

@SReffs @growteach I’ve been sending my children to holiday clubs for two or three days a week during the holidays so I can work on next years curriculum, planning, classes etc. I’d love it if we actually got 13 weeks holiday a year!!

@growteach A friend of mine is a teacher and she doesn’t get six weeks off. During the holidays she at school working on the time table, planning lessons and more.

I’m waiting for my appointment at the hairdressers. She’s moaning loudly to her other client about the INSET days and how teachers have already had all summer off…. She’s going to come to me in a minute and remember I’m a teacher. 😂 #teachertwitter #edutwitter
