Yeah dude the moon just so happens to spin at the exact rate so that it looks perfectly stationary to us – and then also it’s exactly 400 times smaller than the sun but the sun is 400 times further away by chance so that eclipses match up perfectly

I can’t lie, this one still confuses me sometimes…. Like, Earth isn’t sitting on anything. It’s just there. In space. But it’s not really “floating” the way we imagine. It’s actually falling, just not crashing. It keeps falling toward the Sun, but it’s moving sideways at the same time, so it keeps missing it. That’s what orbit really is. And the crazy part? We don’t feel any of this. No speed, no falling, nothing. Everything just feels.. normal. Space is wild fr.

This was a very good question from Ryan - why does the Universe on the largest scales resemble the Universe on the smallest scales? The answer, for the case of the distribution of galaxies on the sky, is that the pattern we see has its origin in quantum mechanical fluctuations during inflation - before the hot big bang (at least according to inflationary cosmology, which is the most widely accepted model at present). #wwfc I think Rob is a decent bloke & I want him to succeed, but that doesn’t mean he gets a free ride. Wolves stumbled on a plan & it worked for a while, but during an unbeaten run we changed the successful formula and we haven’t been the same since. With the ball Wolves were pathetic tonight & as fans we should not accept it just because we are down. I want to support Rob, but we need to see way more than what was on offer this evening. If anything the pressure is off, so that should allow us to play with some freedom. A fortunate 0-0 against the team in 17th who pumped us doesn’t exactly fill me with hope.
