The "Peaceful" Cult Next Door Elders that turn a blind eye to the cries from children inside Kingdom Halls and Conventions. Parents literally abusing their kids to please "Jehovah" and get brownie points from their leaders. And they knock with warm smiles welcoming you in too...

@MercedesAtHart You bring your daughter up in a religious cult that gets exposed for so much child abuse / traumatic experiences. One that has caused medical neglect for kids resulting in many of their deaths? You don't care that they lie to courts about coverups of crimes or abuses they cause?

i'm a Black Jehovah's Witness woman who survived someone who weaponized my race, my faith, my body, my mental health—everything about my identity. while pregnant. while alone. while building a life for my daughter. i didn't just survive. i'm thriving.

@viknik71718 Explain how so many parents within Jehovah's Witnesses can clap and cheer when hearing a child refused blood doctors said they needed to survive and died? And how that's not child abuse enforced through abusive practices like shaming and shunning over disobedience to elders.

Many people think Jehovah's Witnesses aren't Christians because they don't think we believe in Jesus. Or they think we're a cult or brainwashed. But those things aren't true. See for yourself who we are.

If you read the words of Jesus in John 17:3 and conclude that he is also the true God, then you have believed something different from what he taught and you cannot have the eternal life he described.
Rikki Doolan@realrikkidoolan

Christian’s do not worship 3 God’s. ONE GOD Jesus. ✝️ Peter and the disciples knew it, the great generals of old knew it. “Traditional denominations” are confused by it. They hang on to doctrines of men as if it will save them. No. Only Christ.

Han venido unos testigos de Jehová a casa, me han preguntado qué es para mí la Biblia y les he dicho: “una magnífica obra de ciencia ficción”. No sé si era evangelización o club de lectura.

@maklelan You can also add to it in deceptive and harmful ways like many Christian cults have leading to unjustified harms caused to large numbers of their members. Just calling themselves true Christians shouldn't be enough to trust them with putting your loved ones under their control.

Everyone who treats the Bible as an authority chooses what they like from it & disregards what they dislike. That’s literally an inevitability. You can’t derive consistent principles from it otherwise. Folks like Eric are doing the exact same thing, they just pretend they’re not.
Eric Metaxas@ericmetaxas

The Bible is the Word of God. PERIOD. Tucker's thinking he can choose what he likes from it -- and discard what he dislikes -- is mindbendingly arrogant. And deeply wrong. And his "interpretation" of it is a satanic inversion.

@BuBdyc @MasterMaliq You've had to seen how many coverups Jehovah's Witness leadership has been exposed for. Is that something Jesus would want his followers to defend or make excuses for?

We do not follow any man or magazine. We follow the Bible. We test everything against Scripture. If a teaching does not harmonize with the Bible, we adjust it — that is why our understanding has been refined over the years as more light has shone. (Proverbs 4:18)Yes, we disfellowship unrepentant wrongdoers, including those who promote serious sin or try to tear down the congregation. The Bible commands this for the protection of the flock. (1 Corinthians 5:11-13; 2 John 9-11)We do the same thing the first-century congregation did when someone caused division or promoted immorality. It is not ‘shunning’ out of hatred — it is loving discipline to keep the congregation clean and to give the person opportunity to repent. As for predictions: we have had wrong expectations in the past, just as the apostles did at first. We learn and adjust. Our faith is not built on dates, but on the Kingdom of God and the ransom of Christ. The real question is: Do we teach what the Bible actually says?Jesus said: ‘The Father is greater than I.’ (John 14:28) ‘This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.’ (John 17:3)We believe those words exactly as they are written. If you have a specific verse where you think we twist the Bible, feel free to share it and we can look at it together from the Scriptures.

I’ve met different Christians here on X, but let’s be honest for a second, nobody studies the Bible like Jehovah's Witnesses. Agree or not, they don’t just quote it, they live inside it. Most people carry a Bible. They actually read it.

@BuBdyc @MasterMaliq Thousands are dead because of the coercion to obey elders orders on refusing blood in life threatening situations including kids. JWs can't fix that same way a serial killer can't just say "oh well I toned it down a bit now, I'll still kill but I'll give some more options."

@BuBdyc @MasterMaliq You got jokes. Country after country investigates and shames Jehovah's Witness leadership for the harm they've caused to victims covering up crimes, lying to courts to try to make victims seem hurt for no reason, they've had to pay millions over the abuses they've caused.

@MasterMaliq lol, oga… the select the part that favors their tales and twist it the way the want it, to me there’s a tiny difference between them and Islam, the moment you leave and ask questions. You are an apostate

@RobeltDora @Knightw0lf_ Look into how their leaders lie in courts to hide how they've used practices to abuse members into obedience like shunning. Jehovah's Witnesses really like to turn a blind eye to suffering and harm within their org and they often leave when confronted about it.

For any #JW who argue preoperative autologous blood donation was always a personal decision, please go to JW Org and look at the Medical Information Packets. “Jehovah’s Witnesses do not accept preoperative autologous blood donation.” Couldn’t be clearer.

@allchildrens Glad you guys work to save Jehovah's Witness children when they are in need of blood to survive. The abusive practices within that group can make a child seem like they are willing to die but really the choice to disobey their parents and religious leaders can be extremely hard.

@GCH_Charity @RHCGlasgow Hope you guys are helping young Jehovah's Witness patients as well who face abusive practices in their daily religious lives to conform to what their leaders say. Capacity to understand that death will take them isn't always black and white. Pressure to obey can override that.

@StephanJaeckel @TerribleMaps Hmm, are countries too weak when they prosecute pedophiles and don't allow them to just talk to kids freely? No? Then are why do you want a cult that literally pressures kids to die in hospitals to just walk freely to recruit families putting more kids in danger?

@TerribleMaps The hard-core authoritarian countries on earth marked in blood-red. A country where rulers feel too weak to allow Jehovah's Witnesses to talk to citizens actually confirms the world view of those who joined in.

@TheCakegurl Ask them about what the Australian Royal Commission found happening inside their org. Bet you get marked down so no other JWs hear about it. If that doesn't work ask why their leaders lie in courts about abusive treatments of members like shunning. Life time solution hopefully.
