I'm in Mankato today training County Feedlot Officers. We're doing the training across two sites, so my counterpart @ChryseisModd is in Saint Cloud w/another group. We're sharing presentations over Zoom, though, so that we don't both have to do all of them. Kind of fun! @UMNExt

Do you like my new Dutch friends? 🐄 🤩 The #manure from these cows is being used for energy production and is then turned into dried compost. A very cool manure processing system in the Netherlands! Seen on one of the tours for #RAMIRAN2025.

Just landed in the Netherlands and I'm getting my first glimpse of Dutch agriculture out my train window! I'm excited to learn about #manure management here at the #RAMIRAN2025 conference and represent @UMNExt, @UMNews, @UMNswac!

Down at @MN_Arboretum today for the @UMNExt Crops Team meeting. We heard about some of the corn agronomy research going on as well as outreach activities at the Farm at the Arb.

@mjanders1 My team is always willing to get their hands dirty 🤪 Seems like folks that work w/ @FliesFacility are, too! But seriously, the pilot work was cool. There was more variability in seed germination w/BSFL present in manure than w/o, so maybe more work is needed to tweak the system!

Can black soldier fly larvae eat up weed seeds in #manure?!
