I used to be trans. I hate talking about it, but I feel obligated to because people think gender identity is real. I decided not to transition. That doesn’t mean I explored my gender identity and figured it out, or that I was never trans—it means I was brainwashed by a social contagion and thankfully still had some sanity left before I took testosterone and harmed my body. Here’s what you need to know. 🧵

We live in scary times. People are being murdered in the streets by our own government, journalists are being arrested, and people are cheering it on, ignoring the precedent that this type of behavior represents. I feel like im in blizzard world. Truly the worst timeline.

@Th3Maineiac @nyaraVT Actually, calling out the modern gestapo of the fascist regime controlling the most powerful military in the world should be super normalized, so we should just support anyone willing to do so. How do those boots taste? Fuck ICE.

@The_Bunny_Doll The entire way this question is worded feels kind of gross. Trans people are not a monolith. We are individuals. I know plenty of poly people who are c1s, and plenty of mono people who are trans. I am a mono trans person and very selective about sexual partners.

Uhhhhh cus sex is fun! If you want a more rationalised explanation though, I suppose a lot of trans people have already transcended societal norms just by being transgender, so it makes sense why they don't follow other social traditions like monogamy. Sexual intimacy is a whole other type of interpersonal connection, and can deepen a bond massively, it requires you to put yourself in such an exposed and vulnerable position, so being able to do that is testament to how safe you feel with your friends. Another aspect which I'm a little bit apprehensive about talking about is neurodiversity, I don't want to paint every trans person as autistic, cus I know that's untrue, but there is a huge correlation between autism and being transgender, with gender non-conforming people being three to six times more likely to be neurodiverse too. Autism itself is primarily a social condition, and I can attest at least with myself, I feel as though I'm living in a world which wasn't made for me, which often doesn't make sense to me, the societal expectations and what's considered to be "normal" not aligning with how my brain works, and that reduced adherence to social norms allows for greater exploration with not only gender identity, but interpersonal connections with other people. When I try to explain why I struggle with monogamy, I use a bit of a weird analogy in that life is like a buffet of food, and monogamy is akin to just eating one type of food until you die, there are eight billion other people on this planet, why is it bad to want to explore connections with as many as you can?

This is preposterous. First of all, she's not waving the officers through and has no right to do so even if she were. She is waving another car through, before the officers approach her car. Second, the officers are not randomly searching her, they are approaching her vehicle because she is violating the law: namely, she is obstructing a lawful enforcement operation. You're not allowed to walk up to or drive up to people who are enforcing the law to make it harder for them to do their jobs. Third, this defense attorney is drawing a meaningless distinction between an ICE officer and a "real police officer." Again, you're not allowed to interrupt a lawful enforcement operation, which is exactly what this woman was doing. Fourth, the officer didn't discharge his weapon to prevent her from fleeing. When he discharged his weapon, she had pointed the vehicle at him and pressed the gas. He discharged his weapon in self defense, and other angles of the video show the woman *clearly* hit the officer with her car while accelerating. The gaslighting is off the charts and I'm having none of it. This guy was doing his job. She tried to stop him from doing his job. When he approached her car, she tried to hit him. A tragedy? Absolutely. But a tragedy that falls on this woman and all of the radicals who teach people that immigration is the one type of law that rioters are allowed to interfere with.
Jenin Younes@JeninYounesEsq

I'm a former defense attorney and currently a civil liberties attorney with no political dog in this fight. I watched the video at least 10 times from different angles and at different speeds and waited to offer an opinion, which I still reserve the right to change if additional information changes the calculus. It is very clear that the officers instigated the confrontation. The woman initially tried to wave them past her. ICE officers have no authority to search a US citizen or arrest her (unless there's probable cause to believe she's harboring undocumented individuals, not a contention here). A woman surrounded by masked, armed men who have no law enforcement authority over her has every right to try to escape. Video shows her steering wheel is turned to the right, clearly an attempt to leave WITHOUT hitting anyone and steer clear of the officer standing towards the front of her car. That officer had time to step to the side, which is where he was when he shot her. Even a real police officer would not have the right to shoot at her for trying to flee. This is well-established in the case law; deadly force may not be used simply to prevent someone from getting away. Given that the ICE officers had no law enforcement authority to begin with, AND the video footage shows she was trying to escape a perceived threat, not to kill anyone, the crime is all the more inexcusable. I'm praying for the victim's family, especially her children. I'm also praying for all the conservatives who are so unprincipled and lost they're excusing this terrible crime, and gloating over a death that will leave three young children motherless, because of the victim's politics.

Hot take: The VTuber community preaches 'diversity and inclusion' nonstop, but it's a total echo chamber left-wing or super progressive views get endless claps and collabs, while anything right-of-center or even moderate conservative instantly triggers hate mobs, cancellations, and 'no collab' lists. Real friends and a healthy scene should let VTubers have wildly different political opinions without torching relationships. Grow up, true diversity means tolerating views you disagree with, not demanding everyone thinks the same.

@diorvijane Totally fair and I've been there. Logical brain says, "There is no good reason to reject this person," but heart just won't get on board. It sucks, but your cant force attraction, and your shouldn't feel guilty.

met a guy. he really liked me. a lot. he listened to me, supported me, encouraged me, was kind. but something just wasn’t right. i wasn’t attracted to him at all. but he had qualities i’d been praying for. but they also felt like they came from a place of anxiety, and i didn’t like that. my body also rejected him when he kissed me. so that’s how i knew fr he wasn’t for me. disappointing but i wasn’t finna settle

And they're under no obligation to. Im accustomed to having to sit with and sort through my emotions to really understand them, but its frustrating every time, and only amplified by the holiday season.

Christmas separated from the little family you have left, but with new found family at the same time is odd. The swirl of emotions im feeling are indecipherable. I cant decide whether to cry from sorrow, or from my heart swelling because people care when I dont deserve it...
