I didn’t ask these people to go to the streets and risk their lives believing help is on the way. You did. So this is the help they were promised: not targeting infrastructure but targeting the butchers who are executing them. And to the UN Secretary-General, the Prime Minister of Spain, @sanchezcastejon and President of Germany: You were passionately talking about respecting international law. So where are you now? این چندمین‌بار است که ریتوییت دوستانی را در تایملاین می‌بینم که قصه جگرسوزی از جنگ را بازنشر کردند، در حالی که از همه جای قصه‌ پروپاگاندای جمهوری اسلامی بیرون می‌زند. برای اطمینان، آخرین موردی که دیدم را چک کردم. نویسنده‌ی قصه درست یک پست قبل‌، به عراقچی و تیم مذاکره‌کننده و ظریف افتخار کرده بود! غم‌انگیز است وقتی می‌بینی دوستانی که زندگیشان را صرف مبارزه با حکومت کرده‌اند و می‌کنند، امروز برای اثبات اینکه «جنگ بد است»، پروپاگاندای حکومت را با بی‌دقتی تمام بازنشر می‌کند. نه اینکه جنگ چنین قصه‌هایی نداشته باشد، نه. من جنگ و قصه‌هایش را بهتر از بسیاری می‌فهمم چون زیر بمباران بزرگ شدم اما بازنشر قصه‌‌ی جنگ از زبان حامی حکومت را نه! نمی‌فهمم چطور ممکن است به این سادگی راوی قصه‌های ج.ا. شده باشید. نمی‌فهمم چطور متوجه نیستید که ابزار انتشار پروپاگاندای عاملان جنگ شدید انگار که روایت گروگانگیری را از زبانِ هم‌دستِ گروگانگیر نقل کنید. ایران را بهانه نکنید وگرنه خامنه‌ای هم یک جا به این نتیجه رسید مداحش «ای ایران» بخواند! #NoDealWithMullahs

تقلا‌ی ناامیدانهٔ این گزارش سی‌ان‌ان، که با آب‌وتاب می‌گوید پس از پنج هفته جنگ فقط نیمی از پرتابگرهای موشکی نابود شده‌اند، انگار همین هم کم است، به‌راستی مضحک است؛ همان‌قدر مضحک که این خیالِ خام که چنین ادعایی به‌نحوی موجب «گمراه شدن» افکار عمومی در آمریکا یا اسرائیل شده باشد. اول از همه، برآوردها در زمان جنگ عوض می‌شوند. فرض کنید داده‌ها نشان می‌داد ما تصور می‌کردیم جمهوری اسلامی (فقط به‌عنوان مثال) ۳۰۰۰ پرتابگر دارد؛ اما بعد از هدف قرار دادن ۱۵ پایگاه سپاه، می‌فهمیم در واقع حدود ۶۰۰۰ تا را کشف کرده‌ایم. خب، این یعنی برآوردمان حالا تغییر می‌کند، نه؟ دوم، اینکه آیا رژیم توانسته راهی برای بیرون کشیدن پرتابگرهایی که طی چند هفتهٔ گذشته زیر آوار دفن شده یا دسترسی به آن‌ها مسدود شده است، پیدا کند یا نه، کاملاً قابل‌فهم است؛ به همین دلیل، ارتش اسرائیل چند هفته پیش برآورد کرده بود که ۷۰٪ پرتابگرها نابود یا از کار افتاده‌اند. این به معنای «فریب افکار عمومی» نیست، هرچند سی‌ان‌ان ترجیح می‌دهد آن را این‌طور جلوه دهد. سوم، یک پایگاه رسانه‌ای که بی‌هیچ شرمی خود را وقف پخش گزارش‌های نادرست، فریب‌دهنده و جانبدارانه درباره این جنگ کرده است، به هیچ وجه و تحت هیچ شرایطی قابل اعتماد نیست. ما درباره یک خبرگزاری صحبت می‌کنیم که با تأیید مستقیم رژیم خبرنگاری را به ایران فرستاد و ادعاهای بی‌پایه و مضحک درباره «حمایت مردم از رژیم» منتشر کرد، در حالی که تجمع‌ها پر از کارمندان دولتی و افراد اجیرشده بود.

Multiple attacks on health have been reported in the Iranian capital, Tehran, in recent days amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East. The Pasteur Institute in Iran sustained significant damage and was rendered unable to continue delivering health services. The Institute was established in 1920 and has been operating for over a century in multiple areas of medical research. It plays an important role in protecting and promoting population health, including in emergencies. Two of its departments have been working with @WHO as collaborating centres. In addition, the Delaram Sina Psychiatric Hospital sustained significant damage due to a strike on 29 March, and the Tofigh Daru pharmaceutical facility, which produced medicines for treating cancer and multiple sclerosis, was damaged in another attack on 31 March. No casualties were reported from these incidents. Since 1 March, WHO has verified over 20 attacks on health care in Iran, resulting in at least nine deaths, including that of an infectious diseases health worker and a member of the Iranian Red Crescent Society. Attacks on health have also been recorded outside Tehran, including on 21 March, when an explosion nearby Imam Ali Hospital in Andimeshk, Khuzestan province, led to the facility’s evacuation and cessation of services. The conflict in Iran, and the region, is impacting the delivery of health services and the safety of health workers, patients, and civilians present at health facilities. Peace is the best medicine.

I just asked @PierrePoilievre for clarification on his Shadow Minister for Immigration’s tweet concerning the Iranian community in Canada. He said: “The people of Iran are not the problem. Almost all of them are fleeing from this dictatorial and repressive regime. We are outraged, though, that IRGC terrorists have been able to get into our country because of the very poor screening that the Liberal government has applied.”

Disgusting. If police are serious about fighting terrorism, they should access CCTV footage of the license plates, track and investigate the owners. Anyone with ties to the IRGC (a banned terror group under Canadian law) should be charged and jailed. Any non citizens with IRGC ties should be deported immediately. Let them enjoy life back in their Islamic Republic utopia, or wherever they came from. Any naturalized citizens with IRGC ties should be subject to a citizenship fraud investigation. If they failed to disclose their terrorist affiliation in applying for citizenship, revocation proceedings should commence immediately. Enough is enough. Canada is not a hotel for terrorists and their sympathizers.
