If Jomana Qaddour is "Muslim Brotherhood," then I'm the Murshid of the entire Jama'a. The smear campaign, pushed by far-right accounts and outlets falsely labels Jomana Qaddour as a "Muslim Brotherhood mole" in the U.S. State Department, based on guilt-by-association claims about her education, family, and past affiliations. These are classic extremist tantrums, recycling old, debunked innuendo to attack respected Syria experts. I've know Jomana personally and had extensive conversations with her on Syrian politics, humanitarian issues, constitutional processes, and more. She is a dedicated professional: co-founder of a major humanitarian org delivering aid in Syria, former Atlantic Council fellow leading the Syria portfolio, UN Syrian Constitutional Committee member (civil society side), Georgetown Law doctoral student on ethno-sectarianism, and now a Senior Advisor at State focused on Near East affairs. Nothing in her work, words, or character aligns with Islamist ideology, let alone the Muslim Brotherhood. She's a mainstream, secular-leaning expert committed to inclusive governance, minority rights, and accountable policy in the region. This is baseless character assassination, not serious critique. Jomana deserves respect for her contributions, not conspiracy nonsense. #Syria
