BREAKING NEWS | Police in KZN have just rescued a school principal taken from her home in KwaMakhutha last night.
The 55-year-old woman was followed to her house by five men travelling in a Toyota Avanza.
Although they failed to take her car, they stole items from the home before they left with her.
The attackers also emptied her bank accounts overnight.
A collaboration between KwaMakhutha SAPS detectives and the Inanda SAPS Task Team led to the discovery of a criminal hideout in Newtown A this afternoon.
The suspects had fled, but the victim was found alone in the house.
She was seated on a mattress with her hands tied.
The woman will be taken in for a medical examination to determine her condition after the ordeal.
A stolen TV was also recovered.
