@carlafrancome Ealing removed its LTNs because of residents’ complaints that congestion and air quality had worsened on roads where their own monitoring data showed nothing of the sort. Car brains are addled af and the council is under no obligation to kowtow to their made up problems

Exeter's newest Low traffic neighbourhood was removed after noisy & law breaking opposition from drivers. The FB group cheering their removal lays bare their #motornormative thinking. Not concern for children's safety but "if a kid gets hurt we might be inconvenienced" 49👍 😭

My theory for why my local NextDoor is still full of people bleating “the cycle lane is empty” about C9 was that they’re all retired so never see King St in the AM peak. But the data seems to support a different conclusion: debilitative motonormativity-induced delusional thoughts
