Probably reading, definitely praying. Wasting too much time on this website. Soon to be mama of 3!

The important thing is that villains must be villainous, and their crimes not excused, EVEN if they are later redeemed! Example: Edmund Pevensie, in Narnia, is absolutely a loathsome traitor, and the book works hard to redeem him, and pulls it off. Ebenezer Scrooge is bad as can be. Heck, he's the archetype of the evil capitalist! And yet HE is thoroughly redeemed. One of the most heartbreaking things in Lord of the Rings is when Smeagol is ALMOST redeemed, but then Sam, misunderstanding what's happening, spoils it. It took me 3 chapters to forgive Sam, but of course he was trying to do right by Frodo. But it's obviously just fine to have unredeemed villains. Edmund is redeemed, but not the White Witch! Smeagol clearly could have been redeemed, but not Ugluk.

Yes and no. It is actively harmful to tell children that all villains must be redeemed. But it would also be harmful to tell them no villains can be redeemed. Right now, though, we have a dearth of Skeletors.

@scotchsoupmaker I think a lot of it is just postpartum overwhelm and anxiety. I still love my pets but they def get on my nerves a little more the first couple months after I have a baby

@DiaryofaSickGrl I’m a big fan of rice made with bone broth since it adds a bit more nutrient density

Does anyone make their rice with chicken broth instead of water? Is it good? Bland?

@cecsquared @Zo_bo_fo_sho I love that! My Libby is through the “big” library the next town over because our library, while lovely, is very very small

Ok everyone saying you have to buy physical books and not kindle, physical books also deteriorate. Also physical books do take up space. A real reader has all 3: physical books, ebooks and audiobooks.

@Zo_bo_fo_sho lowkey I prefer ebooks because they only take one hand, leaving my other hand free for a beverage and/or petting puppies

@Zo_bo_fo_sho As a mom to very small children, my kindle cannot have pages torn out of it. And it’s much easier to read at 3am in the dark. Physical books are fantastic but slightly impractical for some stages of life lol

Not only did we have this already, it was done better. The sister wasnt "misunderstood", she repented and became a better person after learning from cinderella's grace. If youre gonna copy something, at least copy the good parts.

First look at Cinderella in ‘STEPS’, voiced by Amanda Seyfried. The film follows Cinderella’s evil stepsisters who are actually depicted as kind & misunderstood. Releasing later this year on Netflix.

Kinda wild how if you’ve experienced any kind of significant loss/bad luck/unfortunate circumstance, people will interpret your efforts to avoid those same situations in the future as you being needlessly anxious
