I have quite a few new followers! I entered a convent in 2016 before having to leave in 2020 because I developed mental illness. I’m Catholic, love living in Indiana, and have two dogs as my companions. Feel free to ask me anything!

@Zo_bo_fo_sho I do one or the other, either the book or the movie. When I do book I end up liking everything less.

I finished reading Hamnet like over a month ago and I’m almost ready to watch the movie. It’s a process.

I completely forgot to tell you guys that I had my first guest at the house and it was none other than @MegHunterKilmer! I can’t wait for all of my other friends who live in my phone to come visit! I have ice!!!

@damemimi22 Yes it is! And let me tell you about the time there were no beds left on the psych unit so they set up cots and patients slept in the common areas ☺️ a great environment to get better from a mental health crisis!

@AlexRettie It seems like common sense, but all to easy the name of the game with mental healthcare is the hospital’s bottom line and efficiency with low staff numbers.

@cecsquared I didn't know until I was in one -- I was surprised.

@MariaEyre1873 In one unit where I was, a male patient t who was having a hallucination came in my room in the middle of the night and barricaded himself in there with me and my (female) roommate. It took 15 minutes for staff to get in.

@franciscanmom I thought Rocco was the hunter! But he was scared, Noli was totally on attack mode

@cecsquared That happened when one of my kids was dog-sitting for a friend's Lab 😳 and then had to call the owner and report that their dog had chowed down on a bird

This a Mental Health Awareness Month post! There are entirely too many obstacles to obtaining mental healthcare. As someone with PTSD, this is one of the biggest things that keeps me from going to the hospital when I’m in crisis.
