@rajivkhaneja Regardless of all this bullshit you typed, you are still a part of the problem. Not because you are a child of immigrants, but because you assimilated to the wealth hoarding tactics of the colonizers of america….

I grew up the kid of immigrant parents who scraped together enough to send me to private school. I was surrounded by kids with nice cars and ski trips. We didn’t have that kind of money. My allowance was $10 a week, and by grade 4 I was using my paper route money to trade stocks at the kitchen table with my dad. At 13 I taught myself to code. At 14 I built pollit.com, one of the internet’s first online polling tools. It blew up. Millions of polls, massive traffic, clients like MTV and The New York Times. By Grade 11 the company was doing millions in revenue and I was hiring adults while still going to high school. I needed to run ads on all that traffic to make money, but every ad server on the market was built for big companies with big budgets. A teenager couldn’t afford any of them. So I built my own. At 17 someone offered me $2.5M for everything. I said no and went back to chemistry class. That ad server became AdButler. Today it handles over 100 billion ad requests a month for companies like Costco, HP, The Home Depot, and Microsoft. It’s been named one of the Americas’ Fastest Growing Companies by the Financial Times and a Top Growing Company by the Globe and Mail. Nearly three decades in, it’s still bootstrapped, still profitable, zero outside funding, and 100% uptime since 2017. I took everything AdButler generated and kept building. I co-founded Arvita Therapeutics where we’re developing mRNA cancer therapies for people with Neurofibromatosis Type 1. I’m opening Mari, a diagnostic imaging clinic. Through DoubleBlind Capital I invest in early-stage startups and have backed more than a dozen companies across SaaS, consumer products, and healthcare. I also own restaurants, a mobile home park, and commercial real estate. I like building and buying things that generate real cash flow in the real world, not just on a screen. I’m currently renovating a waterfront home in Victoria, BC. It’s the same city I grew up in, started my first company in, and never left. Everything I’ve built has been from here. Three things 28 years of building taught me: Your first company won’t be your best idea. It will lead you to your best idea. I built a polling tool to get traffic to my website. The traffic needed ads. The ads needed a server. That server became an 8-figure company. That company now funds cancer research. You can’t connect the dots looking forward. Saying no to money is harder than making it. Turning down $2.5M at 17 felt insane. But every time I’ve chosen long-term ownership over short-term cash, it’s paid back many times over. The hardest financial skill isn’t earning money. It’s not taking it when someone puts it right in front of you. Build the machine, not the product. Products come and go. What lasts is a system that generates cash flow and lets you point it at things that matter. I built an ad server. It gave me the freedom to fund cancer therapies, open a clinic, and invest in a dozen startups. None of that happens if I sell at 17. I write about this stuff here. Follow if you’re building something.

Well, this is not an encouraging trend for Cinderellas. ... The NCAA tournament went to 64 teams in 1985. Only 7 times have the 13-14-15 seeds all gone winless in the first round. It's now happened two years in a row (for the first time).

@afraidofwomen51 In theory it does A show of dominance is chemically attractive to women, while on a surface, mental level, she may disapprove of it, it's a biological fact that she will like it to some degree. It's dependent on whether her body's desires or her mind takes priority for morality

@insomniac988 @nickshirleyy Yea thats what I have always said, when reporters like this bump into the peoples whose names are on the public documents he is only touching the bottom level people, driving a Maybach or not, those are still the small fish.

🚨 Here is the full 40 minutes of my crew and I exposing California fraud, Minnesota was big but California is even bigger... We uncovered over $170,000,000 in fraud as these fraudsters live in luxury with no consequences. Like it and share it, the fraud must STOP. We ALL work way too hard and pay too much in taxes for this to be happening. These fraudsters have been able to defraud American taxpayers for years without any pushback from the public and politicians. It is time to EXPOSE IT ALL and end America's fraud crisis.

@eagleseyeinc If you reverse this, have the friends and fun while young and poor, then having the money and solitude while older is like hitting the lottery….

i used to live alone when i was a young bachelor; no real friends, no girlfriend, no partying, no clubbing. just me, growing alone, compounding wealth. at first it felt like peace, but deep down it was chaos i battled daily. walking around my apartment, i longed for someone to talk to. waking up, i wanted someone lying next to me. cooking, i wanted someone to eat with. watching football, i wanted to scream GOOAAALL with people by my side, but there was no one. i had money, yes, but i felt lonely and depressed... truly, we are social creatures by design and no amount of self-love can replace the warmth of genuine human connection. no philosophy, no hustle, no self-improvement can replace the simple need to be seen, heard, and valued. my depression started lifting only when i began going out more and building real connections. introversion can kill slowly.

Have you ever actually lived ALONE? No kids. No roommates. No boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse. No pets. Just you??

Tech Layoff Tracker

A buddy from college hit me up last night out of nowhere. Dude was a senior product manager at Google. Pulled $320k+ TC no problem. House in Austin, three young kids, wife who stepped back from her career to handle the family chaos. Got cut in the latest restructure wave. Now he's watching the savings bleed out at $5,800+ a month just to keep the lights on and the kids fed. Mortgage, daycare for the toddler, school supplies, two car notes, health insurance COBRA kicking in soon. He crunched the numbers stone-cold: maybe four months before it's game over. He was always the loud one in the group—bragging about the stock grants, the remote flex, how Big Tech was bulletproof forever. Last night on the call he was quiet. Shaky. Admitted he's waking up at 3 a.m. staring at the ceiling thinking about what happens when the account hits zero. He's blasting applications. 250+ out the door. A couple recruiter DMs that fizzle. Screens that end with "we'll be in touch" and then silence. The market is ice-cold and every job posting gets 500+ applicants overnight. He said flat-out: "We thought we had it figured out. House, kids' college funds starting, vacations planned. Now I'm refreshing job boards at midnight wondering if we'll have to move in with my in-laws." You never think it'll be you. Until the access gets revoked, the calendar turns into a ghost town, and the mortgage statement shows up anyway. If you're still collecting fat TC at a FAANG or big tech shop thinking the golden handcuffs and network will always catch you… wake the fuck up. The runway disappears faster than you expect. DMs open if you're in the same spiral or watching someone you know crack under it. No judgment. Just real talk.
