Excited to share our latest published work showing that marginal metallophilic macrophages from the spleen traffic to the heart and are required for cardiac repair after myocardial infarction. ahajournals.org/doi/pdf/10.116… This raises the possibility of therapeutic splenic modulation to limit heart failure after MI.
