“If victory is certain even a coward will fight. But real bravery is when one dares to fight when defeat is certain.” - Imran Khan

Saturday morning in Lebanon: Israel has issued wide-ranging forced evacuation orders for 20 towns and villages in the districts of Jezzine and Nabatieh. An earlier drone strike killed one person and there have also been air strikes and artillery shelling across the south, as their forces say they intercepted a drone. This despite Iranian FM saying Lebanon included in the deal, that the MOU includes Israeli withdrawal, and American officials saying they are “confident” their allies are on board. Israeli defence minister says there will be no withdrawal. And his troops clearly haven’t given orders to cease fire. Lebanese have learned that this can be a dangerous time: amid speculation + even assurances as the last US/Iran deal was finalised on April 8th, Israel launched its deadliest attacks on Lebanon of this war, killing more than 350 people in a single day.

🇮🇱🇮🇷 3 senior Israeli officials have flagged what they see as the deal's core problem: Billions of dollars flowing into Iranian government coffers could make the regime stronger, not weaker. The exact opposite of what two months of war, blockade, and Mossad operations were supposed to achieve. The other 2 concerns land just as hard. Lebanon being folded into the framework means Israel's ability to operate against Hezbollah The campaign it's been running since March with daily strikes, gets legally constrained by a nuclear agreement it had no part in negotiating. This is the Israeli read in plain terms: we fought the war, absorbed the costs, and the deal Washington is about to sign hands Iran money, protects Hezbollah, and ties our hands. One senior official already called this deal "shit." 2 more just explained why. Source: Guy Azriel from i24NEWS / Writer: Oliver

Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50 held a telephone conversation today with the Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan @faisalbinfarhan. They welcomed the US–Iran negotiations in their final stage, with the electronic signing ceremony scheduled for tomorrow, and expressed the hope that this important development will contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region. The Saudi Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s consistent and sustained efforts in support of mediation and dialogue throughout the process. Both sides also discussed the forthcoming Regional Four Foreign Ministers (R-4) meeting, scheduled to be held in Egypt later this month.

🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran’s Foreign Ministry just poured cold water on the hype: The Islamabad memorandum will not be signed tomorrow. Nuclear issues are not part of this stage. Focus is only on ending the war. A signing could still happen in the coming days, but they’re warning about “the other side’s inconsistency.” The victory parade Trump’s running is hitting traffic in Iran. Still no signing. Still no trust. Source: IRIB, Press TV / Writer: Oliver

Footage from Gaza. Now that I’ve got your attention, this is LEBANON. Israel is committing ANOTHER genocide 💔

A year ago, the world met Habiba al-Askari, a three-year-old toddler in Gaza fighting for her life. @JomanaCNN and @AbeerSalmanCNN's reporting resulted in Habiba's medical evacuation to Amman. CNN returned to Jordan this year to reunite with little Habiba and her family.

The brutal U.S. attacks on Indian commercial vessels which have killed at least three Indian nationals, stand as clear evidence of America’s ongoing policy of armed robbery and State piracy. We extend our sympathies to the families and friends of the slain Indian sailors and offer our sincere condolences to the Indian people and government. The international community must hold the United States accountable for its lawless conduct, which continues to threaten global peace and security while endangering the freedom of navigation.
