@rcxane C'est clair : C'est un mythe l'horloge biologique. Franchement, je te conseille d'attendre, au MINIMUM, jusque 50 ans avant d'envisager de faire des gosses.

@traderDanielle @CNN Wow sorry to hear that. I wish this would have worked out for your family luckily you found out though. I wonder if there’s a genetic issue since two of your children have deathly severe allergies to food products.

@CNN I introduced my kids to allergens by 6 months old. My 3-year-old has a deathly severe, anaphylactic allergy to peanuts. My 1-year-old has a deathly severe, anaphylactic allergy to milk and eggs. This did not work for me. Watch your babies so closely when trying new foods.

After the drastic change in guidance to no longer keep allergenic foods away from babies until 1 to 3 years of age and instead introduce them by 6 months of age, the prevalence of egg allergy among children fell by more than 17% in a new study published Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics. cnn.it/4v50rM0

@maya_ndljk @Romy_Holland “They” ; who is this “they” that “gives you a baby to take home”? There is only you who are birthing the baby and someone is helping you deliver the baby; there is no “they” that gives you a baby?

@Romy_Holland Also, it’s not like as a new parent you have any experience yourself. You’re very unqualified other than having birthed the baby and they still give it to you to take home and keep alive. In its most vulnerable state even!

people seem really convinced that taking care of a baby for a few hours isn’t a low skill job, but this is clearly wrong? my teenage SIL had never taken care of a baby and i showed her how to do it in under 20 min and wrote up some instructions and she watched my difficult baby for 8 hours with no problems. i have a friend who had never taken care of a baby and stepped in and watched a newborn for like a week when a friend’s family had a bunch of medical emergencies. he just figured it out, sorta like all new parents do. being a surgeon is a high skill job. being a helicopter pilot is a high skill job. playing peekaboo with a baby and changing a diaper is not high skill? being a parent is not hard bc the skills are super complicated and take years of formal education to acquire, it’s hard bc it’s relentless and you never get a day off.

Angelina Jolie on her Children removing Pitt from their names; “I’m happy the children chose to do that, it’s a great thing and I fully support them. I didn’t advise it, as they grow up, they realised he’s not worth calling ‘father.’ After that incident on the plane, I knew everything would change, so I divorced him” “He’s manipulat!ve. Elliot Page went viral trying to define masculinity. But no man has ever sat around thinking “am I talking with my hands too much?” That’s not masculinity. That’s a performance. And Elliot is an actor.

I need to vent. My daughter is 14. She is 6 feet tall. She is also gorgeous and looks mature for her age. (My husband is 6’4” and I am 5’11” for context.) Every time we go somewhere and she meets someone new, they comment on how tall she is. She hears about it constantly at school as well. Last Sunday, we went to church with my mom and dad. My mom was introducing her to the youth minister, a man in his 30s I would guess.

@thecavemommy They are idiots for saying you’re neglectful and have to call CPS. And I think the confusion was that you said he should do it until 5-6yrs old. He’s 2 yrs old and that’s completely normal he is literally still waddling around. I bet you will start noticing dry pull-ups in the

“Why is the birth rate so low?” Idk, maybe cuz you make a tweet about how your almost 3 year old still wears pull ups to bed (even tho he’s been pooping in the potty for nearly a year) and been in underwear during the day for even longer, and people tell you you’re a neglectful parent and should have CPS called on you Shoutout to those of you with reading comprehension and who understand child development ❤️

Girl dads: Do not bring little girls into the men's room. We do not want little girls exposed to adult, male genitals. You are welcome to bring your girl(s) into the women's restroom. Just give a knock, say you're a girl dad coming in, and you'll be fine.

@SpattyAl @thecavemommy @AscendWithLex Some kids do at 5 or 6 and it's not their fault. There is a brain-bladder connection that doesn't develop later for some kids. They just do not get woken up by their brain when they should. They all outgrow it eventually. It's genetic.

Son is almost three and I haven’t bothered potty training him overnight. Had a mom acquaintance once tell me she woke her daughter up multiple times during the night so she wouldn’t wet the bed to go potty. She was only 3?? That sounds pretty miserable. Maybe I’m selfish and lazy that’s fine but I don’t think my son will have trauma for being in a pull up overnight till he’s 5 or 6. He’s potty trained during the day, has been for a while, why make all of our lives more difficult

@lynniefishy @StandTheStorm @thecavemommy What physiological reasons? If you have to pee you wake up and go to the bathroom. I never woke my son up at night to pee but if he woke up on his own I would know. Another benefit of cosleeping.

I’m 65 years old, two kids, four grandkids, cared for literally hundreds of under-5s while working a Crisis Nursery. I have never heard of waking a child up at night to use the bathroom while potty training. They are in a diaper at night for quite a while after being trained during the day, for physiological reasons.

@thecavemommy @resbizmag That is only “normalized” because of the diaper industry. He can’t feel himself piss himself at night because he’s wearing pull ups. If you don’t put them on and don’t feed them liquids before bed they shouldn’t be sleeping and peeing in the night in a diaper. Wtv works for you

I cannot express to you the peace that comes with being on the other side of all the toxic and stupid mainstream parenting discourse. Sure, my kids are still minors (well, 3/4). But I have been doing this for 21 years. You can't "dead baby" scare me out of my four successful and healthy unassisted freebirths at home 🤣 You can't "what if measles" scare me into vaccinating my four completely healthy vaccine-free kids 🤣 You can't "babies need to cry, you're spoiling them" me out of baby wearing and responding to their needs and never letting them cry arbitrarily. 🤣 You can't "they'll stay in your bed forever" scare me out of my amazing cosleeping experience 🤣 You can't "not spanking will cause entitled disrespectful brats" scare me into hitting my respectful, helpful peacefully parented kids. 🤣 You can't "unschooling is neglectful!" scare me out of enjoying life with my four smart, passion-motivated curious learners, (one in college). 🤣 You have zero power here. Zero. None. I ran the race well. Proof's in the puddin'. I chose my God given intuition and divine womanhood over all the fear-mongering mainstream bullshit. It's a glorious thing, really.

@DavidMa45436343 @mattymacros @japan_nobunaga What you’re describing is not racism as discussed today (specifically largely being skin colour or even other social associations (politics, religion, philosophy, ethnicity)). The post is addressing racism as colour with the point being judge someone by their actions only.

@DavidMa45436343 @mattymacros @japan_nobunaga In group and out group doesn’t indicate racism just differences in certain aspects. Tribe does not mean race. And race is a social classification anyway. Is it physical attributes? Is it government (different countries/societies)? Is it geographic location (maybe continent)?

Honestly, racism is one of those things many Japanese people struggle to understand. If we see a white person, we think, "Oh, they're white." If we see a black person, we think, "Oh, they're black." If there were blue people, we'd probably think, "Oh, they're blue." And that's about as far as it goes. If someone is nice, we think they're nice. If someone is an asshole, we think they're an asshole. If we like them, we like them. If we don't, we don't. We grow up being told not to cause trouble, not to fight, and to get along with the people around us. Maybe that's why judging someone by their race feels so foreign to a lot of Japanese people. We're usually too busy judging people by whether they're good people or not.
