The Right doesn't stick together. That's our biggest problem by far. Conservatives are quick to denounce each other, jump on dogpiles, disavow, attack their allies. I said a few weeks ago that we all need to band together in the wake of Charlie's death and the answer I got back from a lot of people on the Right was, basically, no. Well okay then, guys. We'll just lose instead. The Left will keep up the united front and defend their guys no matter what while we keep throwing each other to the wolves at every opportunity. Great plan.

@vivianaketter @jonharris1989 Scottish heritage likely indicates (in an American context) Scotch-Irish ancestry, those Scottish (protestant) subjects used to subjugate Northern Ireland. A mere pit stop on their way to America. Check out the Orange Order, major overlap between Scotland and NI.

@ConceptualJames Games CAN be childish, but they dont have to be. "Games" are used at the highest levels of academia and the military (amongst other important/essential elements of society) to teach, learn and practice the real thing. This is not new and not controversial.

Makes me wonder if Lindsay has ever played video games. "On the rails" is not a compliment. It's also worth asking, is someone ruled by a king but taxed a maximum of 10% of his income with a minimum of regulation inhibiting his ability to run a business more or less free than someone in a democracy taxed 50% of his income who can only access the services provided by the state as bureaucrats see fit to ration them? I'd love to see a democracy in our day and age that could provide the former without a king, but give me a modern example that isn't a city state. I don't want kings or aristocracy, although we realistically have them in democracies too, just by a different name. But I also will insist that talking about how to get to that greater freedom shouldn't be policed via smears and misrepresentation.

@AcademicAgent_X I see the mention of hearts of iron, but for me it goes back further, Koei's "Operation Europe" on the SNES. Amazing how games can teach history/geography, I'm a Paradox player so yes, my geographic knowledge is exceptional.
