Just In: Governor Seyi Makinde has approved the commencement of Contributory Pension Scheme in Oyo State. Employer (Oyo State Government) to contribute 12%. Employee to contribute 8%. This a very good development from Seyi Makinde and it excites me so much! ❤️

Implementation of the contributory pension scheme is applicable to all workers employed by the Oyo State Government from 1 January 2025. The effective date of the commencement of the Contributory Pension Scheme is 1 July 2026.

@ifedayo_johnson Also, no state has ever praised their government for this policy, no one wants it. And many of those praising it are not beneficiary of this scheme. We the real beneficiary are saying NO to CPS

Nigerians kill me mehn! 😂😂 They are saying NO to employer’s contribution (and their own contribution) to their OWN pension because of the reasons below. They want to be like UK. But they want to skip the process.
