I've been told by many that its best to separate your "office" space and your living space. That having your own space to work from is essential. I have a spare bedroom in my house that used to be my "office". Working 12+ hours a day, building multiple successful companies, I felt like I was missing something. Once that door closed and I was cut off from my kids so I can focus, It just didn't feel great at all. I understand that at an average job id be leaving my house for 8 hours a day and not be able to be around my family/ kids. I understand that important meetings I need to be isolated so that way Its more professional. However I'm a father, and a proud one at that. those who don't know, that chair, and that make shift office has built multiple companies that now revenue over 6 figures monthly and have hired and created more jobs and opportunities than you could possibly imagine. I moved my office to my living room so my kids can bother me 24/7 anytime they want while I'm working. my quality of life has increased, my connection with my kids have increased. I enjoy not being isolated from my family but allowing them to be around for the empire that I'm building. I enjoy that my sons can come over and talk to me and climb on me. Not everyone gets to choose to incorporate there kids into there job, I'm very blessed and happy that I can do so <3. I definitely understand how lucky I am and I intend to take FULL advantage of it. Thanks for coming to my ted talk, just hear a lot about NEEDING an office space or NEEDING your own space, and I just firmly disagree with that stand point <3. I have the ability to have my own office and i choose not too because i enjoy the accessibility of being in a more common room.
