like it seems like a lot of it comes down to more east-west passing and fewer low-percentage shots square to the net. maybe it's time to replace some of the perfect positionining 6'5 guys with freaks who can dive across the net at a moment's notice

i'm not going to pretend i know anything about goaltending but i hope that the result of the lower-save-percentage trend is a swing back to more athletic and reactive goalies

Oilers best players weren't good enough last night. Hard to win in playoffs when that happens. Doesn't happen often for them, but it did last night. Vancouver was more desperate, especially in final 40 minutes. I'd expect Edmonton to be that team in Game 6.

@nielsonTSN1260 Agreed. Coaches get canned way too much as is. Effort and compete level is on the players. Find a way through it.

Woodcroft has only coached 130 NHL games, winning them at a .650 clip. A coaching change just takes the heat off this core of players….again. Not sure this would be the wise choice. Do you? I’m genuinely curious what fans are thinking?

@scottcwheeler Similar to when Matthews was on his tear. The shooter can beat you in so many ways that you start guessing instead of reacting.

Is it just me or are goalies pretty regularly psyching themselves out against McDavid? A number of goals recently on stoppable pucks that they almost seem timid/scared of even before it’s released.
