In China, teachers have shy students choose papers to help them socialize; if a paper is blank, the class doesn't do the homework. Since all the papers are blank, the child always wins.

They are called “Indie” dogs. As if they are ordinary. As if they are less. But Indie dogs are among the strongest, most resilient, and intelligent breeds you will ever meet. They survive extreme heat, heavy rains, traffic, hunger, and neglect. Their immunity is naturally stronger. They adapt better. They are fiercely loyal. Once they trust you, they love you for life. And yet, they are the most abandoned. Hit by vehicles. Chased away. Starved. Ignored while foreign breeds get chosen first. An Indie puppy doesn’t need luxury. Just safety. Just food. Just someone who won’t leave. Adoption doesn’t just give them a home it gives them dignity. It breaks the cycle of suffering. It turns a street survivor into a family member. If you are thinking of bringing a dog home, choose compassion over fashion. Adopt an Indie. You won’t just change their life. They will change yours forever. #adoptDontShop #Dogs

or 3 dips in Indian river before Immunotherapy?
Oscar Tahuahua@OscarTahuahua

Immune competence is partially encoded in the microbiome ➡️In a phase II trial in @Nature, a single oral FMT before immunotherapy led to high response rates (NSCLC ORR 80% with PD1 blockade; melanoma ORR 75% with PD1/CTLA-4). ➡️Benefit was not driven by donor engraftment, but by depletion of immunosuppressive taxa (Enterocloster, Clostridium innocuum) modulating tryptophan metabolism & CD8 T cell activity. Reintroduction of these taxa reversed the ICI benefit in vivo, supporting the microbiome as a modifiable therapeutic axis. 🤔We all know the microbiome matters, the real challenge is generalization. A European or Asian, etc microbiome is not the same & even within the same region, diet and lifestyle vary widely. The biology is convincing, translating it into broadly applicable cancer therapy is the hard part. doi.org/10.1038/s41591… @OncoAlert ➡️

After almost 6 years of residency at @RadOncTMC, I leave with a heavy heart. I certainly can't express in words how grateful I am to my mentors. Couldn't have asked for a better farewell. Incredibly proud to call TMH my alma mater. 💜

Breaking news: Teacher Arrested At Pearson Airport A high school teacher was arrested today at Toronto's Pearson Airport as he attempted to board a flight while in possession of a ruler, a protractor, a compass, a slide-rule and a calculator. At a press conference, Premier Mark Carney said he believes the man is a member of the notorious extremist Al-Gebra movement. He did not identify the man, who has been charged by the OPP with carrying weapons of math instruction. ‘Al-Gebra is a problem for us', the Premier said. 'They derive solutions by means and extremes, and sometimes go off on tangents in search of absolute values.' ‘They use secret code names like "X" and "Y" and refer to themselves as "unknowns” but we have determined they belong to a common denominator of the axis of medieval with coordinates in every country.” When asked to comment on the arrest, Prime Minister Carney said, "If God had wanted us to have better weapons of math instruction, He would have given us more fingers and toes." Fellow Liberal colleagues told reporters they could not recall a more intelligent or profound statement by any Prime Minister. O Canada! 😂

🧠 Cancer responds. Surgeons wait. Patients lose. In our new Converse Study (n=2,379 HCC patients), 16% responded well enough to be potentially cured after Atezolizumab+Bevacizumab. But only 3% actually received curative treatment. We call this the under-conversion gap: Patients respond. But nobody changes the plan. Intent stays palliative. Hope fades. 🎯 Tumor down. AFP down. Still… no resection, no ablation, no transplant. Why? 🔹 No expert MDT 🔹 No transplant program 🔹 No mindset shift 👉 Immunotherapy changed the biology. Now we must change the strategy. 📢 If we don’t act on response, we waste it. 🧩 Read the full study (Liver Cancer, 2025): doi.org/10.1159/000547… #HCC #Immunotherapy #UnderConversion #LiverCancer #Oncology #Hepatology #MDT #SurgicalOncology #CHESS #ConversionTherapy #CancerCare #AIinOncology #MTH #CTH

Some ask if patients with limited metastatic disease can be cured. The answer is clearly yes. We’ve known that since the 1930’s, and it was very clearly articulated in this book from the 1960s. In 2026 we’ll report the final outcomes from SABR-COMET, 10 years after closure.
