Being able to report this illegal activity will be of great benefit to these businesses. Since these conversations are always initiated as private conversations, being able to report private conversations will be very useful. Telegram always should have had this feature.

The createStart function in the code they request to copy isn't part of a standard interface for ERC20. The next line transfers the contract's balance to the phisher's wallet. CreateStart, most likely, sends the user's MetaMask balance to the contract.

The "this is a deceptive request" warning appears in the middle of the video.

They probably have the wrong guy, because my guess is Tequila Pete doesn't live in the US--and that's why Tequila Pete isn't afraid of being charged with extortion. Blackmail is illegal. Because I am raising concerns about the flood of unvetted illegal immigrants overwhelming American cities, the press will often characterize me as “anti-immigrant”. As an immigrant myself, nothing could be further from the truth. I am very much in favor of increased and expedited legal immigration for anyone who is talented, hard-working and honest. It is bizarrely difficult and agonizingly slow to immigrate to the USA legally, but trivial and fast to enter illegally! This obviously makes no sense.

The scammer Dev Aaron Arnone, of @buysmiley @buysmileycoin has deleted the fake tequila_pete account where he doxxed an innocent hard working family and posted pictures of Mikes spouse and children. I get a ton of death threats because I expose scammers and this was a very bad move. Authorities were contacted, I personally found Mike and shared details and pictures of Aaron's posts so that Mike can share with his local authorities and press charges. 👏👏👏 this is personal to me because innocent people are involved and I am putting a full deposition for Mike. Man, way to ruin your career Aaron.

@tequila_pete is continuing his extortion racket. Someone tried to doxx him, and he's upset about that. He blamed us for doxxing him. We never tried to doxx anyone. We simply refused to pay his blackmail. He's got lots of enemies due to his extortion racket; any one of those could have tried to doxx him. And yeah, they appear to have gotten the wrong guy because Tequila Pete most likely does not live in the United States. That's why he isn't afraid of being charged with online extortion. His basic scam is this: Someone loses money in a telegram group by falling for a post posted by a scammer. Or, someone sees a scam post and DOESN'T fall for it, but contacts him. Or, he makes up the scam post himself. He then goes to the group owner, who had nothing to do with the scam post, and demands compensation for the "victim" (who, in many cases, didn't fall for the scam post to begin with) and threatens to hurt their reputation by posting mean stuff about them. The owner might be a nice guy, and actually try to compensate the "victim". In our case, we asked for the "victim's" username and they contacted us via telegram. After the "victim" admitted that we didn't actually owe them anything for making a stupid mistake that we warned them not to make, we did send them some cash as compensation. However, as they say, no good deed ever goes unpunished. The extortion continued with additional demands for cash. Later on, the so-called "victim" started writing to the us because Tequila Pete's account was blocked. The "victim" made demands for additional cash to "delete posts." Real victims would never do that, but Tequila Pete has a limited number of telegram accounts to make demands with. He runs this scam in every open telegram group he can find. It wouldn't surprise me if the unsophisticated hacking criminal named Tequila Pete was not only pretending to be the victim, but was the the source of the original scam post to begin with.

Blackmail's illegal. Stop bothering innocent people with your extortion attempts. We compensated people we didn't have to, for mistakes that were--by their own admission--entirely theirs. We even said "you admit that if you sent a scammer tokens, after we warned everyone not to, we owe you nothing." And then, when they agreed, we helped them out anyway. Scams have forced many crypto tokens to close their telegram groups. If scammers can't post, the scams don't happen. We never doxxed anyone. That must be a different extortion victim of yours that did that. It's not like your illegal extortion doesn't make lots of enemies.
