It’s over 38°C in my apartment with all the machines running, totally unbearable. So I just “externalized” one of them: not a server, but a remote Parsec box plugged via Ethernet in the cool basement. That lets me keep driving everything and running my builds from here. Result: 32°C instead of 38°C. Next step: move another machine out. I also discovered HDMI dummy plugs! Had no idea these existed. They let the system believe a 4K screen is connected, so you can stream remotely without any hassle. 😍 Optimizing your setup when you work from home isn’t just about cloud. Day 5: ESP32 + network pipeline v0.35🔌📡 Kicked off the first iteration of my real‑time pipeline on ESP32 today: network connection, pulling latest data frames, and logging raw metrics (presence, heart rate, respiration, node status…). It’s not pretty yet, but it works: 20s loop, get_latest_frame(), parsing metrics, and structured output to see which sensors are actually online and how many packets they push. Next steps: stabilize the stream (latency, packet loss) lock in a clean data format for viz + analytics start wiring this into a more serious backend Sharing the build here in public. Sensor upgrade day on Silène. Swapping in more precise heartbeat + respiration sensors across the ESP32 fleet. Still no camera, no mic — just radio waves reading presence, breathing and falls through a wooden enclosure. Getting clean vitals out of RF is hard. Worth it. #buildinpublic #ESP32 #IoT
