I sat in that chair for 5 hours,then they turned me to face the mirror.
I looked at my hair.
My hair looked back.
We were both confused.
She said “you like it?” Before I could reply, her colleague replied “fine girl this hair too fit you”
Toorhh me I kuku said “I love it.”
Paid and Left with fake smiles.

Not because of the hair(yeah that too) but Because the fear of being the topic of conversation after I walked out kept me smiling through the worst hair of my life.

I honestly don't get how women are expected to just pop a painkiller and keep working even when they're about to pass out from period cramps, while the medical world just brushes it off as 'nature’s way.' If men had to deal with this pain every single month, don't you think a permanent cure and paid menstrual leave would have been a thing centuries ago?
