As a company leader it’s important to listen to great ideas from your team.
My colleagues Andrew and James imagined and prototyped the product that’s become Monumental Labs’ #1 revenue driver!
They understood that high ceilings are great for creative thinking but terrible for focus. And most rooms just can’t change shape that easily.
Their breakthrough: the focus stone™
A 6-inch slab of marble that matches your ceiling height to ANY task.
What are customers doing with these 6+ ton stones over their heads? Let’s dive in. 🧵

Two years ago, I sent this text to my frat that made me a millionaire.
I was 21, sitting in my apartment at Syracuse, staring at my phone for an hour before I could hit send.
It went to my fraternity group chat. The guys I had lived with, partied with, and called my best friends for three years.
I told them I was taking a leave of absence to build a street interview business.
I was moving to either New York or Miami, and I did not even know which one yet.
I just knew I was leaving by morning.
I sent one more message after that. "Come to 611 tonight."
That was our house.
Everyone showed up to say goodbye.
I left the next morning, and I never came back.
Some of the guys in that chat thought I had lost my mind.
A few told me to come back and finish school.
Most of them had no idea what street interviews even meant.
I still have that group chat. The same guys who told me to come back now send me every article and podcast I am featured in.
They hype every win louder than anyone on my team does.
The screenshot of that text is still in my phone. I read it when things get hard because it reminds me what it cost to start.
Everything I have built came from being willing to send one terrifying message and then actually follow through on it.
