@BrodieOnLinux So the "wishes" of Square Enix need to be enforced by their legal team, not by people yelling at each other in social media.
If they don't take any legal action, that means they authorize it. Some companies even allow this as free advertising, or keeping a good image with fans.

@BrodieOnLinux I'm no lawyer, but there's something that japanese fans often forget about this topic. IP owners are legally obligated to enforce their copyright against unwanted distribution, because not doing so implies authorization for usage of their IP.
Morals have nothing to do with this.

There's such a different response to this from Japanese fans and everyone else, most people are happy about a dead game being brought back by the community.
But I've seen a bunch of Japanese fans angry about this because it goes against the wishes of Square Enix.

@Rom_2nd_ @BrodieOnLinux The thing in both cases is that the IP owner has total freedom to enforce their copyright, so those who release such content do so at the risk of seeing legal action taken against them.
But if the IP owner doesn't take any action, it's legally seen as implicit authorization.

MUGEN『聖闘士星矢 ULTIMATE COSMO』。
外国勢によるMUGENの所謂「コンプゲー
(一つのテーマに絞って作られたシリーズ)」。
キン肉マンとかもありましたよね。
これはあまりにも凄すぎる。
キャラも全部手書きグラですよねこれ。
愛に圧倒されて言葉が出てこない🤣
ボイスが全く別のキャラだったり、シーン
に合って無かったりする事もあるけど
そんなんこの完成度の前じゃ些細な事だ。
ただやはりMUGENはデリケートな存在。

@draku_the_freak It's a good idea for maybe the 4th or 5th time, but after it being done so many times with no changes it got a little boring.
I'd like if they did something more interesting, like fighting several bosses at once, or splitting the rush in different places in the final stages.
