Hello new Japanese friends! If you're curious about my posts about Christianity, here is a quick list about the most important things that Christians believe and why it's important!
1. Everyone has sinned. Feeling guilty, feeling like a failure or that you're never being good enough. This is the burden you feel from being imperfect.
2. There's good news! God knows that we aren't perfect and he knows that no matter how hard we try, we will never escape that guilt and burden. God also is perfect and holy and he can't be around imperfect, sinful humans. Something must be done to correct this and God knows that we can't do anything ourselves to be perfect and make things right to be holy so we can be near to God.
3. The solution! God came to earth to be born as a human named Jesus. He suffered everything people suffered, but he was still God, so he was the only perfect human. Because he suffered, he understands our pain, but he was perfect, so he could do what we couldn't, bring us to God himself. Jesus laid down his life, felt the crushing weight of all our guilt, all our crimes, all our grief, died, and then conquered death by coming back to life.
4. What does this mean? Jesus took all the consequences of sin on himself so we can be free and be close to God so that when God looks at you to judge your life, he sees Jesus sacrifice, he sees a perfect human, a child of God.
5. How do you become a Christian? Let Jesus take your sins upon himself and let him carry you. Believe in your heart that Jesus is God and accept his gift of forgiveness. Let your heart be transformed and reborn with God's love and sacrifice to bring you back to life!
