@the_shrimp_lord @suchnerve high heat, too- restaurant kitchens sustain much higher heat than home kitchen stoves and generally have better ventilation as well. i think a lot about a well known & talented chef saying he never cooks steak at home bc it’s not worth the cleaning to get it right when a pro can!

been very quiet, still having a long spell of low energy, having to focus everything i can spare on work, staying warm + pain management, but even when i can’t engage much, logging in here and seeing the love flowing between people is healing ❤️‍🩹 thank goodness for y’all

i had been playing a lot of minecraft but creativity has been in short supply, so recently i’ve been trying some indie games and playing through Pentiment with my partner (which is really cool!) and lots and lots of movies and books, because stories will save you 💫

yesterday the weather warmed up enough that i was able to go on a short walk to the lake with my partner. we called out “welcome back!” to the red-winged blackbirds and held hands under the big blue sky 🍄🌸🌻

i can count on one hand the amount of people i know who do not have long covid or another disability/chronic illness who are advocates. even people who think they're left-leaning. why is everyone so terrified of the c word, as if ignoring it means it can't affect you?

it would be lovely if this March everyone without Long Covid posted about Long Covid awareness month because god knows i’m aware and i’m fucking tired of being aware
