Yesterday, I understood what DeFi is. Today, I asked a better question: Where does the money actually come from in DeFi? Because let's be honest, If you don't understand that part, you are just guessing. Here is what I have learned so far: In DeFi, rewards don't appear from nowhere. They come from real activity happening on-chain. Main sources: ✓ Trading fees: Every swap pays a small fee ✓ Liquidity providers (LPs): Earn a share of those fees ✓ Incentives: Projects reward users to grow adoption ✓ Borrowing & lending: Interest paid by users So when people talk about “earning yield”, It's actually coming from users, volume, and protocol design. That changed everything for me. Because now I don’t just ask: “How much can I earn?” I ask: “Where is this yield coming from?” If there is no clear answer, then that's a red flag. Right now, I'm exploring: ✓ How liquidity pools really work ✓ Why APRs can be high (and risky) ✓ The difference between real yield vs incentives Still learning. Still observing.
