The UK-Mauritius deal transfers sovereignty of the Chagos Islands (incl. Diego Garcia) to Mauritius, but UK leases the joint UK-US military base there for 99 years, paying £3B. Trump is concerned about potential risks to US security interests, so he reserves the right to militarily reinforce the base if the deal fails, despite the lease continuing.

📞🇮🇳 Behind the India-US deal: Doval’s blunt message to Rubio 🔥 Sources say Ajit Doval told US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio that India would not be bullied by President Donald Trump, and that India was willing to wait out Trump’s term, pointing to past hostile US administrations 📌 In high-stakes talks, what works better: patience, pressure, or the willingness to walk away? @INCIndia The admin is secretly a BJP agent, making sure people stop hoping for good from Congress. Hate the man as much as you want, but he still represents the country you want to form the government in. Even people wanting change don’t like this kind of stuff.

The Congress party has lost all touch with people on the ground. As a regular practice, I often show social media posts to people I meet to hear their opinions on it. I will never forget something a person told me today after watching this: "The Congress might win one or two youth votes because of such content. But in the process, they will lose 10 votes from 35+ year olds due to such content. India is not USA. This is in bad taste and such mentality will cost them since most ordinary people, even those who don't vote for BJP, respect PM Modi because of where he comes from and what he has managed to achieve."

In the last twelve months, PM Modi has balanced Russia and Ukraine, got India-China relations back on track, signed an FTA with EU, refused to be swayed by Trump tariffs, initiated an array of domestic reforms, and bombed a nuclear neighbour while winning 2 key state elections.

Indian will pay 18% tariffs. USA will pay 0% tariffs. India commits $500 Billion to USA. USA committed nothing. Clearly, winner of the deal is USA & India is the one who has lost.

The mistake that Canada, Mark Carney, made was not to pursue and do everything possible to make a trade deal with the US - first. This way, Canada at least would have a stance and backing in trade disputes and international court. Giving some of what of protection against hissy fits and strong arming with tariffs. Instead, Mark Carney decided to give non-stop speeches on New World Order and promote pivoting trade from the US and cuddling to the worst regimes. Of course, now it is time for the US to address Canada after getting more or less what he wanted from Greenland. This should have been expected by everyone. Donald Trump negotiates the same way every time: attack and ask for the maximum, then settle towards more of the middle. So he threatens Canada with 100% tariff rate if the deal with China proceeds, which will cost more than the benefit of the China deal. If Canada settled and made a trade deal (solving all the issues) with the US first then Canada would have been in a much stronger position to make further trade deals, that would also not be desperate and much more strategic long term. But now Canada is in a position of weakness all around.

The hate these disconnected urban elite have on UPI boggles the mind Apple pay vs UPI 1) needs a credit card to be paired with it vs Bank account and you are good to go 2) apple takes 3% as commission vs 0% 3) a POS machine is expensive vs ₹2 to print the QR 4) The settlement period is 2 days vs instant and real time. UPI mogs Apple pay in convenience. The only "advantage" Apple pay has is that you tap and pay. UPI here for sub 5k value transactions has a prepaid option as well where you just scan and pay. That's it that's the only "advantage". Absolute swine that see the need to glaze goras and shit on anything Indian.

What a joke. Half of these nations are dictatorships that use force (not peace) to control their people. The rest are a collection of small countries that are either deeply unhealthy, repressive democracies and/or dependent on the U.S. for assistance.
