This is a N100M portfolio by @compoundinnaira. She (someone said she is a she, Chief, if I got it wrong I apologise 🙏) said she never invested N1m at once in her 6 years plus investment journey on the NGX. Just consistent contributions to solid companies providing solid solutions. This year she received dividends from GTCO alone worth about 1.4m. But she didn't get there immediately. It was built over time. You don't have to save crazy money to invest. Build your emergency fund and start investing gradually. Over the years you will not recognise where you have come from. We keep learning, we keep growing!

3. FOMOing I bought Jaiz bank sometime last year, but I sold it off due to me needing the money for a pressing need. So I kinda liked the stock. Then during Ramadan, I saw a post saying the ramadan will send the price up. I then rushed to buy some new shares, but I bought at an all time high. That made me eat a significant loss. Thankfully I didn't buy too much. As part of my rebalancing strategy, I later sold it at a loss 🥲. By the way Jaiz bank is still a good stock, just that as part of my philosophy of concentration, I won't hold it. The lesson, always look thrice before you leap into any stock. Know exactly why you are buying it, how long you plan to hold it for, and factors that will make you sell. Also always check if the stock is significantly overvalued before you buy. You just may be liquidity for profit takers.

2. Spreading my capital too thin. At some point, I had 700k chasing 19 companies. That diluted my returns because when my best ideas eventually ran up (Aradel for example) I didn't have enough money in them for it to make a significant impact because I had spread my capital across too many companies

@ThatJuDaH @Dr_statesman Nope, i was given malaria medicine even tho i tested negative for it, and was asked to manage my stress and hydrate well, I got a little bit better after but I’m not completely fine 😥

Why is it that when most Nigerian do test in the hospital and you tell them the result is normal, they get sad? Like, guy, because you spend money, you want to find one sickness by all means?

I think I need to remind y'all that I am a Chartered Accountant (ICAN)... okay, back to what I wanted to tweet. Some people underestimate the power of compounding. You don't have to wait until you have millions to start investing. That 20k, 50k, you have. Please start with it. And continue to increase the amount as your income increases. That is the way to go.

Two pharma stocks with two different stories. FIDSON Revenue up 55% YoY. Profit after tax jumped 131%. MAYBAKER P/E ratio of 14.6x. Highest net profit margin in the sector at 11.3%. One is getting the attention. The other may still be undervalued. You know what to do.
