@dinotom1 Tom, you are so kind. Francisco isn’t looking for help paying rent— backpay arrives next week and he should be settled before any removal proceedings take place. He’s just hoping to protect his credit and his reputation. An eviction filing can be quite damaging on your record…

@TheJOstroff I’m sorry I didn’t understand what property the county agreed on for the mental health assistance. Will it be the old center that closed in 2018/2019? The place on the corner of East Ave and 45th Street. That place has been helping people since the late 1960’s.

Fire chief says no deaths reported, and 3 storm related injuries.
Sheriff says 2 deputies were hurt this morning cutting & clearing trees from the streets, but they’ll be ok.
First responders still doing secondary searches to make sure everyone’s accounted for.

We stopped by the @stluciesheriff’s office to hear from @GovRonDeSantis & Sheriff Pearson. 5 deaths confirmed in Spanish Lakes Country Club neighborhood, recovery efforts still underway. Sheriff’s office took some damage as well. #HurricaneMilton

In the Original Town neighborhood in Vero Beach. An apparent tornado came through, right between 15th Ave and US1. Lots of damage. No power. No reports of injuries. Neighbors are worried this debris will become dangerous projectiles when #Milton actually arrives.

More mess in Vero Beach, FL. Some power outages around US 1. First responders already out doing what they can. I’ve also since seen an FPL drive by as rain slows down for now and water recedes from the roadway.
