Everyone is worried about “AI security” at the prompt level, but the real nightmare is AI SUPPLY-CHAIN attacks. Models, datasets, plugins, MCP tools and shared knowledge bases are all new backdoor surfaces.
Poison just one popular integration and thousands of enterprise agents can start shipping backdoored code, inserting attacker URLs into workflows or leaking “summarized” internal data at scale. We’re still doing vendor risk reviews on apps while blindly trusting their models, tools and context.

One of the craziest security stories right now is above the cloud layer:
satellite cyber. Researchers have shown you can capture unencrypted satellite traffic (calls, texts, airline Wi‑Fi, even some critical infra data) with a few hundred dollars of gear because a shocking amount of GEO traffic is still not encrypted. At the same time, real incidents like the KA‑SAT hack and analyses of cubesat stacks show weak protocols, vulnerable ground stations and insecure open‑source comms libraries that actually fly in orbit. We threat‑model S3 buckets to death but barely think about the stuff beamed down from 36,000 km up 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
