When I became self employed I thought I was rebelling against structure. I was thinking ‘now I’ll do what I want when I want’. What I’ve figured out after owning my firm for 14 years now is, I need structure. I can control when I work, and with structure (controlling when tax docs are received and tax returns are prepared) comes peace.

i’ve seen people workout at 4 am before working two jobs. i’ve known introverts who became great communicators when an important relationship needed it. i’ve seen people who weren’t “ready” suddenly commit to the right person. people give effort to what’s important to them

Not one of those individuals has ever come close to making $100M let alone in a day. Goes to show you how people are when you win big. You have to separate from the masses. You’ll lose friends. You’ll lose family. You’ll hear the sly comments. You’ll catch the undertones. It can be a lonely world when you win. The more you win, the less people you’ll relate to.
