@Clark_Confidant In hell. (I honestly don’t know, but I do see that / the modo only list cards kick around the sorting table a lot)
English

WOTC's decisions last forever for the secondary market.
There are ways of making "cute" cards like this that aren't a training exception. Duplicating collector number / set symbol ((the thing we train staff to identify)) makes this product significantly harder to sell.
[[Solution? Eraser smudge over set symbol and hand written SLD collector number]]

English

@PhantomNimbus There’s ways of blending this to conform to standards though - and it doesn’t ruin the joke
English

@ToaMichael Thats kinda Deadpool's thing tho 😅 these cards were pretty much made to be annoying just like the Deadpool Trading Card one of the bonus cards in that one wanted you to rip the card in half to resolve, its a secret lair so it's going to be a case by case situation
English

@N7RetroNinja “After you buy” does a lot of heavy lifting in this fantasy game store.
English

@ToaMichael It’s not that hard to deal with. You can price the card after you buy with a “price tag” This is foreign for many shop owners these days. Price it based on what you paid for it. The worst thing that happens if the card appreciates is you get a 😃 customer that got a deal.

@0x0kyuubi0x0 @brute_steamer All indicators are this is a real card.
English

@brute_steamer @ToaMichael It is someone's custom made proxy specifically deadpools
English

@Jelkus_Fiskus @TheSnaggedSoul We use collector number in particular as a failsafe to distinguish between weird things.
English

@TheSnaggedSoul @ToaMichael Bro look at the card it also has sharpie and glitter on it, no one's gonna mistake it for the non secret lair
English

@sunrise_flare @wontonmoresalad @Picdee When we have tens of thousands of cards, it’s a rule we teach.
When it’s one card it is a problem. (There are a couple other in SLD that have cost us real money too)
English

@wontonmoresalad @Picdee @ToaMichael There's a tiny planeswalker symbol in the bottom left of the first one.
This is to denote it's from the list rather than mh1, opened in a mystery booster or as a bonus card in a random booster pack
English

@JimmyMcNulty410 This is a $5,000 promo card for context... but it depends a lot on the item.
English

Typical grading experience for a #MTG promo card in 2026. (9 corners on BGS means it probably won't PSA 10)

As a Certified Magic Boomer and multi card store owner, i can say definitively there is one undeniable fact about Universes Beyond:
It is the single best decision for sales and customer growth that WotC has ever made. Period.
Corbin Hosler@Chosler
When I share stories like this sometimes people call me a liar so we’ll see how this goes. This was posted to my group today. As the admin of the Oklahoma MTG group I see stories like this regularly. Love seeing the growth of the game to new players!
English

@tommartell @SethBurn It’s not too late; I have a second set (mostly) available if things change.
English

@ednguyen13 @GMoney132184 I’m not even positive a million dollar magic card exits in 2026. (Probably Proposal would be?)
English

@GMoney132184 There hasn't been a million sale for Magic in over a year.
English

@ManaRitual If we had an HP set (we have most of one) it would be in the 60k range. An UNL set is about 40k retail (HP)
English

@ZhouTony These will be on TOAMagic.com by the end of the week, I hope (individually)
English

@ToaMichael Would you consider breaking the set? If so, could you DM me pricing and close-up photos of the individual cards? Thanks.
English

@jakeformayor The second problem is you need to be TCGPro now, which is a substantial fee increase.
