@CathVSConf If an ND account posts but it doesn’t mention the Indiana Hoosiers, does it even make a sound?
English

Heather Dinich stood in the Indiana Hoosier team meeting room only to talk about how great Notre Dame is going to be in 2026.
Everyone wants to know how the Irish are going to be better this year without Price and Love:
"These guys are LOADED. They're going to be just fine at that position. They have a great case to be preseason #1."
🎥 @GetUpESPN 🎤 @CFBHeather

@CathVSConf Notre Dame would’ve destroyed Indiana if they were in the playoffs
English

@KirkwoodandDunn But those teams also played through a playoff system right? Certainly they played in a true national championship game, right? Right?
English

@TouchdownTedB @TennisWrld In what world were they buying 6th and 7th year guys?? They had an average age younger than the team they beat in the national championship. Keep buying into the Twitter narratives
English

No Indiana, but that doesn’t fit a lot of people’s narratives. #iufb

@IrishTexan25 @CFBGuy999 I’m not downplaying it… Indiana has the same odds as Notre Dame. Should be a fun year of college football… can’t come soon enough.

English

@TouchdownTedB @CFBGuy999 Nothing is ever guaranteed. That's why they play the game. But to downplay like it won't happen is shortsighted
English

@Ri0t22 @CFBGuy999 @BannedJoke I’m sorry - who has the most wins in college football over the past two seasons?
English

@TouchdownTedB @CFBGuy999 @BannedJoke well if you looked a little closer it's the comment u just responded to!! maybe have more success then talk, yall won a single natty in your entire history... yall beat ohio state for the first time in almost 40 tries... but yall think yall are the shit
English

@IrishTexan25 @CFBGuy999 Ok … it’s happened 5 times since 2000, not saying it’s a long shot - it’s just not a guarantee.
English

@TouchdownTedB @CFBGuy999 You act like that was 100 years ago. You had a pandemic and a cheating scandal in those very few years.
English

@Ri0t22 @CFBGuy999 @BannedJoke I’ve never seen so many posts about Indiana from opposing fanbases… I wonder why they suddenly are now?
English

@TouchdownTedB @CFBGuy999 @BannedJoke i have never seen so many indiana fans... i wonder why they suddenly exist now
English

@owen49088095 @BannedJoke Yes…? I’ve seen every game since Bill
Lynch was hired (he was before Kevin Wilson, who was before Tom Allen, in case you weren’t aware). Not sure how that correlates with the age of an X profile.
English

@BannedJoke Last season happened, whether you like it or not. It’s also something ND has aspired to achieve for the past 40 years, yet has not done. It’s in the history books, it’s ok to accept it.
English

@BannedJoke Let’s play this game - say Cignetti somehow doesn’t have sustained success à la Chizik, You think those Auburn fans would trade that national title because he didn’t have sustained success? ND fans would kill for a title regardless of what happens the following season.
English

@CFBwSam “But Love beat and impeded Ponds in a 90 yard foot race in the 2024 CFP!”
English

It would have also been a horrific matchup for Notre Dame:
- Analytics will tell you that Indiana's run defense was better than Notre Dame's rush offense. The bread and butter of Notre Dame's offense was limited outside of one long Love run in 2024... how does that rushing attack without a mobile QB fair against a much better 2025 IU defense?
- Notre Dame's secondary in their three biggest games had a handful of big plays, but mostly got cooked. Indiana's receivers would have had a field day against that defense, especially since Notre Dame did not have the same pass rush and twitch up front that Ohio State, Oregon, or especially Miami did. Notre Dame could not have taken advantage of Indiana's weakness in pass protection, and that was the only way to beat Indiana last year.
English

In no universe did 2025 ND have a better offense and defense than Indiana. Let's take a look at their margin of victory against the Top 15 teams in FPI Efficiency that they played.
IU: +18.6 MOV vs 6 Top 15 teams (3 Top 5)
ND: +2.0 MOV vs 3 Top 15 teams (0 Top 5)
SpotWelder@murphy324
Do the numbers. Indiana will regress to the mean. They have no business at #2. Notre Dame beat Indiana 27-7 at garbage time, and had significantly better adjusted EPA before the snub. ND would have been 4-pt favorites in 2026 with a better defense, a better offense, better coordinators and a better head coach. Get the Indiana clowns out of there.
English

Hell of a hire. Thought others might be good but he’s the best hire possible.

@JeffNadu Eerily similar to a guy who chose to stay in Lancaster to make significantly less… unless there never was any other offers.
English

Ben McCollum chose to stay in Iowa City, make 3.5m a year and have a NIL budget of 3 times less… just saying
Brendan Marks@BrendanRMarks
Michael Malone contract details with #UNC: - Six years, $50M, w/ starting salary of $7.5M this season - No less than $6.75M in rev-share $$ - $4M assistant coach/staffer salary pool - $8M buyout prior to April 1, 2027 (decreasing by $1.5M annually)

@HoosierHaze Unfortunately this is part of college football… So we expect kids committed to iu to not take visits, while simultaneously hosting kids committed to other major programs? Welcome to recruiting inside the top 100.
