If Iran posted: "There is no guarantee the plane carrying US diplomats will land safely," Every Western government would call it an act of terrorism. Every headline would say "Iran threatens to murder diplomats."
There would be emergency UN Security Council sessions. An Israeli account posted the same threat about Iranian diplomats, no UN session. No condemnation. No headline. That asymmetry IS the story.

@EO_Halloran Enda, a government TD was with the protest reps at the door and they weren't allowed in. When did the Irish government start this policy of no dialogue. For decades it was always the government trying to get people around a table. Sorry to go on about this.
